I told the guy that was boasting UEFA superiority that the performances weren't indicative of their superiority. He just said that only results matter. Which is true in the end. But this shouldn't be a surprise. The only them from CONMEBOL that has truly sucked has been Argentina. Peru I thought played well.

Hmm. No call on Cavani. Raises my eyebrows. Seems pretty clearly his leg got taken out.

Why did the Uruguay coach not rest Suarez or Cavani yet? Save them for next game...

2CT, with two cynical hacks of streaking runners. Pretty legit, I think.

Suarez doesn't rest. 1v1 vs his child he wants on the field and will be merciless.

There are some Iranian posters who might object to that statement.

Cavani what a beast. Scores a goal in the 90th min up 3 x 0. Sprints back to defense to steal a ball right after it.

    FT: 3-0.

Uruguay takes first in the group and will face the runner-up of Group B. Russia is second and will face the winner of Group B.

They have been playing a clean type of football, unlike some of their other teams, but you know they can switch to that dirty aggressive style if they need to.

Well, I think this game will give plenty of motivation for Spain and Portugal to put in the extra effort and win the group.
