My point is that it is not exactly as it seems. Remember, the public and the lay people remember games by the score lines, not by how they are played or the amount of effort.

Right now, the finishing quality is really poor and the defense looks like a liability almost every time the opposing team has the ball and is trying to attack. Even when KNT was at its best, again, still zero shots on target in this game and the defense was so flaky that they took a chance in fouling a player.

For all the hate that the '06 and '10 teams had, this team is even worse and doesn't even have the basic footballing skills.

I agree that the team should go for a win but it is negligent to say they should go all out and be an attacking team. They should be defensive while having more creativity for the few striking chances that come up. But the players and/or the strategies just weren't good at all for this game.

TFW an all-K-leaguers team coached by CKH has better ball control.

just says it all about the way STY utilizes his players. when half your team outside of your keeper is being asked to play outside of their comfort zone. instead of letting our guys play to their strengths, he puts even more pressure on them by playing them out of their natural positions. even further handcuffing us when we lack over all team quality.

    it's just so infuriating... :mad::(

well, for me.. Park JH is best as LB. for korea, he was often asked to play in midfield.. of which, Shin TY isn't the only guilty party tbh.

Something we agree on. PJH is by far our best left-back.

However, i dont hate pjh as a DM and i think he does a solid job there.

Park will remain with the team for the rest of the WC. He's on crutches :(

I think he meant Park Joo-Ho's primary position is LB, and besides I think Kim Jin-Su is the best we have, but it's not saying much given that they are both pretty bad (though in terms of our defence probably above average).

no, Park JH is the best LB for Korea. it shouldn't even be a debate imo (especially during the years at Mainz) but was ignored for the likes of Yun SY, Kim JS and so forth.

edit - better yet, i believe he was the best all-around FB in Asia the last few years. Nagatomo offers more offensively but Park JH has much more balance to his game.

How is that even relevant to who's better now?

In the last few years? For the last 3 years he was playing with the reserves before being shipped back to the K-League, and even at Mainz, Park was error prone in his second season. Hiroki Sakai has been outstanding for Marseille this season, and was nominated for the team of the year along with Kwon. Sakai offers more than Nagatomo, and Park doesn't even come into the discussion, unless you`ve been stalking him at BVB training ground?

in terms of now? yup.. even now, Park JH is the better fullback over Kim JS. yes, i understand he plays in midfield for Ulsan but Kim JS.. hasn't impressed at all w/ NT nor.. really for Jeonbuk imo (if anything, I believe he regressed).

as for overall.. throughout the career against other FBs? I maintain my opinion.. especially on the left side (FB as a whole.. Uchida is the clear winner for me). As for Park on his 2nd season w/ Mainz? The year he was injury prone & often had to play multiple positions (where majority of his mistakes came when positioned in midfield)?

Seriously? Uchida? Park? From what I recall Uchida had a couple of impressive full seasons at Schalke and was injury prone for the rest of the periods, and Park well, he only had a couple of memorable seasons, one at Basel and one at Mainz.

I think we will disagree anyway, and obvs it's just my opinion.

i had a feeling Argentina will struggle this WC. Sad because I wanted the GOAT to win the WC but I guess he's not the GOAT anymore.

He is/was the best LB of Korean but not always, he's actually had a pretty inconsistent career. He was great for Basel (playing CL, etc), then suddenly became a sub player (for shitty players like Voser), but Mainz bought him nevertheless and it turned out as a great business for both parties. He became an important member, but struggled with injuries in the post-Tuchel era. Then he went to BVB where he wasted his talent, because he was not good enough, didn't get fair chances, lost match fitness, had injuries, struggled in BVB II, went (too late) to Ulsan, was used as a CM and now returned as LB in the NT.

IMO he has always been class, no matter if used as a CM or LB. He was unlucky to have injury and manager changing issues and IMO took the wrong decision to stay for a whole year at BVB (or to go there from the beginning, although I know you have a different opinion). Anyway we are so unlucky to have lost another great player due to injury. Park was the only trustworthy defender in our team.
