Cristian Rodriguez? Jeez. Well, Tabarez will get away with this one vs the Saudis.

De Arascaetta was far from the problem against Egypt too. and Tim's right.

And Morocco was pretty damn good. I read a lot of articles saying that we won't see a lot of pressing and that this world cup would be boring due to that. Morocco pressed Portugal like crazy.

Grafite has been great from the little I've seen of him since joining Globo.

And probably have to rule Uruguay out now. The old guard is back in the mix and looked more boring than ever. I understand replacing Nandez but I just don't know what tabarez end game is. The best things we've seen in midfield the past two games is godins runs and passes lol.

Since we have the technology, everyone has to strive for perfection.....

I feared that old habits would die hard with Tabarez. It was too good to be true for him to go with a rejuvenated midfield. Using Caceres over Laxalt in both games vs weaker opposition is frustrating.

Am I the only one feeling like the only people who are actually critiquing Messi properly are fans of the Argentina national team ? This dude is pathetic and sampioli has all our respect , I've seen him coach good Brazilian managers off the pitch but it was lame as Fuk hearing him say before today's game that "its not about tactics it's about the players" then when he finally lets dybala we start seeing him play well. Messi needs blame , maybe I need to check out more South American media.

Messi feels like he genuinely peaked five years ago and then started to decline as he became infatuated with his own legend and stopped doing little things like pressing off ball without a strong guiding hand like Pep to push him.

@Mengão86 happy for the result but that might have been the maddest I've been during a seleção match. That ref was fukin with Neymar. Even warren Barton on fox was saying it felt personal. Costa Rica kicking at knees the whole game and we couldn't buy a yellow. Costa was fire down that right side and I think we saw enough out of fagner to be confident in him.

I agree. They should have booked Costa Rica from the get go as message. But Neymar isn't doing himself any favors by trying to force PKs. I am also concerned about how he's taking it mentally more than anything.

Yeah, Fagner gave us more than Danilo ever will. We have to go forward with him. Still not entire confident when we face a top side, but at least I don't have a creeping doubt in my mind that we didn't go with the best option at right back.

Tite should think about space in left wing.

Not that it matters given how awful we’ve been. You were right. On everything. No leadership, no urgency, no moments of brilliance.

4-2-3-1 James and Quintero playing together , very interesting. I'm sure mengao loves it , I can't disagree with it at all.

And I was impressed with Senegal once again , they should have got the three points but they got some really entertaining players. It would be a shame if they didn't get out of the group.

I'm glad to see Japan doing well. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them.

Good. Now if only Löw could extricate his head from his rear as well...
