I was joking man :) .. Of course I know who Cavani is, it's just that I don't like him.

Thanks for the trouble of posting the link though :)

so far I'm watching just another Portugal - Morocco game with the difference that Uruguay are slightly better than Portugal and KSA slightly worse than Morocco

I would literally beat the shit out of KSA's #9 had he passed me the ball like that. I'd beat him senseless and then ban him from all international football. The carelessness on these low tier teams' passers is staggering

Golf is more boring than football, but I get your point and, sadly, I agree with it, too :(

Uruguay is at disadvantage to be in such a weak group. You can see they don't have to play at their highest level. Once they get to the Round of 16 they need to turn on. Portugal played already two hard matches and hardened. I see this as a advantage. It's not easy to gear up in the knockout stage if you barely got tested in the group stage. Portugal is slight favourites in my book in a potential match up against Uruguay.

pro tip: don't bring your hopes along with you into the 2nd half cause you'll be even more disappointed. KSA can't play better than that, and Uruguay have no reasons to...

With the exception of Iceland, all of those you mentioned are among the worst divers that exist. Some try to develop the myth that they don't, but they do it the same. Even some of their coaches, do it along the sidelines of the pitch.

Saudis so predictable and shortsighted... they'll not get anything out of this match

should've been 2-0 Uruguay, but Sanchez has mercy on the Saudis (blasts it over the crossbar). Perfect cross by Cavani, though, straight onto Sanchez' head

Uruguay should at least put this to bed. 1-0 is always dangerous. Disappointed they don't show more than this. This group was perfect to get Cavani and Suarez on top of the scoring charts. Wasted chance. If Uruguay exits in the Round of 16 against Portugal/Spain this tournament will be considered lacklustre.

Please don't start again with the broad generalizations... Why you do this? Just to get on people's nerves? Everytime you do it, people respond with facts, and you insist on your prejudices just to make them angry.

Pathetic display by the Saudis, honestly. And you know what's really funny (read: cheeky)? That KSA federation will dismiss Pizi if KSA doesn't advance out of the group. Unbelievable, really!!

Romanians are not Latin, but please don’t let it depress you :D

yeah... I knew it would be like this before the game started but I made a vow to myself to watch all of the WC games this year, after missing some good ones 4 years ago.

Oh, don't worry, I'm not depressed :) ... Also, we are not pure Latins like Spain for example, but most words in our language have common roots with the old Latin language, with the Italian language, and some of the words with the Spanish language, which makes us somehow related to them

There are tons of footage of brittish, german people diving (like that video this other dude posted literally 5 minutes ago. That's a fact and you're ignoring it). Players like Arjen Robben, Gareth Bale and Jürgen Klinsmann aren't of latin origin and they were all known for diving, as well as many others less-known ones... This myth is about as old as me and the fact that you (and many other "proud" europeans) enforce it, doesn't make it true.

Cavani the only player worth his salt from this match.
