    Hi everyone,

First of all, welcome to the new posters joining us! You might have recently created an account just to get in on the World Cup excitement, or you may have already been lurking around BigSoccer and decided to finally get involved in all the banter. Either way, welcome!

A general bit of advice for you, as well as a reminder for our longtime posters: we're all here for the football. With that in mind, we here are taking a zero-tolerance policy towards expressions of racism, sexism, discrimination based on sexual orientation, xenophobia, ad hominem attacks, insults (towards a group of people, countries, or fellow posters) and trolling. Infractions will get you booked - and if you ask where was your warning, this is it. If you see a fellow poster insulting you or a part of your identity (race, sex, nationality, etc.)? Don't respond in kind - REPORT IT. It is the fastest way for us mods to handle the offending posts.

So, with that said, good luck to both sides, and let's enjoy!

This may be a surprise game. Got the feeling this one will end 1:1.

Either 1-1 or 1-0 England. This will be a dry game with few goals.

I think England will entertain us a bit if they're consistent with their form based on friendlies.

I think both teams are fancying their chances if they've been paying enough attention to the World Cup.

I for one am feeling pretty good about England (for quite awhile I haven't). With the formation Southgate has set up we have skillful, athletic fullbacks that'll overlap and put additional pressure on Tunisia while in possession. Kane and Sterling should cause some trouble at the very least. Tunisia will get some chances too, but I'm confident England will have enough cover when they counter-attack. Watching Tunisia in their friendlies they struggle a lot at linking up in the final third. They might have to rely on England to give them some gifts, which could very well happen if we live up to our World Cup standards.

Overall I'm pretty sure England will have the better of possession and put Tunisia under pressure a lot and disposses them in dangerous, which Tunisia often do. However, England traditionally struggle against sides like Tunisia who are well drilled and know how to defend. They will have to have to play close to their potential though if they want to win.

    I'll go 1-0 England.

I won't be surprised if England feel comfortable that they win by a couple more.

This will be a crazy game. 5-3 win for England. 2 red cards. Perhaps.

tunisia can't score 3 times against England. You may be right about the red cards, though :)

Belgium did their thing. Let's see if England will actually step up.

Love what you're thinking, but no way that happens.

why not?? For the 1st time in decades England have defense, attack, and coach. And they're playing against a weaker opponent in a game that they absolutely must win. How will they not score at least 4?

Alright let's see if these kids can play for England.
    Tunisia won't be easy though.

Tunisia has no chance against England? True or false?

We're the better team, but we need to give Tunisia some respect, they've always been well-organised with decent talent. On paper the score is 2-0 to England, but the game isn't played on paper.

It is going to be weird watching an English match and listening to their chants without the cheezy band playing in the background.

It's hard to come up with a prediction. I have Tunisia advancing but it will be hard to get a result against England. My feeling says 2-1 England. I had a 1-1 draw in the prediction thread though.

I think it's smart not to play rashford. Have to keep some powder dry for Belgium. For once in a long time I like the England side.

This is a 'new England' team per Fox.

There is the kiss of death.
