    Hi everyone,

First of all, welcome to the new posters joining us! You might have recently created an account just to get in on the World Cup excitement, or you may have already been lurking around BigSoccer and decided to finally get involved in all the banter. Either way, welcome!

A general bit of advice for you, as well as a reminder for our longtime posters: we're all here for the football. With that in mind, we here are taking a zero-tolerance policy towards expressions of racism, sexism, discrimination based on sexual orientation, xenophobia, ad hominem attacks, insults (towards a group of people, countries, or fellow posters) and trolling. Infractions will get you booked - and if you ask where was your warning, this is it. If you see a fellow poster insulting you or a part of your identity (race, sex, nationality, etc.)? Don't respond in kind - REPORT IT. It is the fastest way for us mods to handle the offending posts.

So, with that said, good luck to both sides, and let's enjoy!

I'm calling it. 5-0 Belgium. Belgium are flat track bullies and Panama are awful away from home.

Lukaku or Hazard to score a hat trick.

Hope Belgium actually live up the hype and are one of the more entertaining sides. 2014 and 2016 was disapointing...

Belgium are a hungry team full of individual talent who love scoring goals for fun. In qualifying, they literally scored at will. I too expect them to rout Panama.

Given how this world cup has gone, an upset is very possible. Hell Belgium may only win via one goal considering how interesting this world cup has gone.

I would go with the general consensus that Belgium will thrash Panama 5-0, 6-0, or worse, but... what the hell.... that will be too easy. Let's have some fun :D

I predict a 2-0 win by Belgium with LOTS (like 20+) of missed clear goal chances. Just to make it more interesting :)

That's what I have been thinking too. The Panamanians may defend with their lives in this game.

Kompany and Vermaelen are being saved for later (reportedly Kompany won't even play before the final group game against England).

they won't need him to be honest. Belgium's group is so easy... and yet, Belgium will still concede goals. I can easily see courtois blunder

Wow ... it's going to be a long night for Panama.

On the other hand it's still 0-0 in 10th minute, so they've already exceeded my expectations.

I kind of hope so. I need an excuse to stop watching. Haven't gotten much sleep time the last few days, juggling work and trying to watch as many games as possible. I'm more excited about tomorrow's games anyways. All 3 games look very well matched.

Perhaps. Perhaps the excitement from his prediction will get my bowels going as I jump across my living room, invariably injuring myself in the process.
