That is such shame His speed would have been so welcome especially after Gjavoev injury I always loved Cheryshev and am very haply for him I am mostly glad for this win cos my girl today sent me this msg at the start of the game She qas blown away by the result And entire Russia mocking the NT pisses me off
I know, previous cups also had these blowout matches but I wonder if they can hold the line even if they go full bunker. I also feel like we haven't even seen the real blowout match just yet. Some matches that also have blowout potential: Spain - Iran, Germany - South Korea, England/Belgium - Panama.
There are always exceptions in football, it's how Chelsea often made life difficult to Barcelona. I expect the possession and build up play by Uruguay to be much better than Saudi's.
Indeed. Europe gets only 16 spots in 2026. We are pretty much guaranteed of a lot more weak teams from Asia (in particular), CONCACAF and Africa (to a lesser extent).
According to FIFA rankings 2018: USA at 25 and the best teams from Asia (Iran at 37, S Korea 57, Japan 61, Saudi 67, Syria 73...) https://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/index.html
They looked terrible before the 2014 world cup and turned out terrible, they look arguably worse now. I feel sorry for the Saudi coach.
Morocco or Senegal should have been in this group not eygpt.I would be more confident in Russia being knocked out.
This group is just way too easy.Moroccos group is much harder to me even iran would have a good chance in this group.
Uruguay would struggle in any other group they would be barely fighting for second. I favour the 48 team world cup because it gives opportunities to Netherlands Italy and Chile Ivory coast Ghana Algeria Bosnia who are all better than the likes of saudi arabia etc.
The point is that it's the best teams from each confederation. Also with how broken rankings are, teams that are good can be overlooked anyway. So it's not a perfect formula.
No surprise to see the open game. Both teams had to go for it and both felt they had a fighting chance, but the Russians are clearly leagues above the Saudis. Another forgettable tournament for the perennial whipping boys I'm afraid. The Saudis will need to learn their lessons, especially in making physical challenges in the air, if they are to have any intention of competing in 2022. The Russians may yet qualify out of the group. They'll have loads of confidence now and the fans every reason to be optimistic.
Chat between me and my gf I mean i am about to drive my ass downtown and whoop her ass Thought id entertain u for a bit [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I don't anticipate anything positive this cycle from any of them. They all look like the 4th place side in their respective group from my vantage point.
