Iranian fans are chilling next to Saudi Arabian flag! They must be drunk or something. Aren't Iranians and Saudi Arabians sworn enemies?
Is Morocco in the middle east? You could have fooled me. It's directly south of Spain and the majority of the people are Berbers. Wrt your point I'd say morocco is a bit hyped as they are still unlikely to make it out of the group even with excellent showings in friendlies. The reigning euro champs and spain will not be dethroned easily. I'd certainly make the same point for Iran (ie being overhyped). I'd heard lots about them building into the WC. After seeing bits and pieces of Iran's friendlies I would place them no where near the other teams in group. Iran has been next to abysmal for most of what I'd seen. In fact the first half of the match vs turkey I saw, Iran should have been down 3 by half and turkey is not a top tier team in Europe these days.

A great documentary about Portugal and the game between Portugal and Iran: http://90tv.ir/video/457651/نظر-مردم-و-کارشناسان-پرتغال-درباره-بازی-با-ایران
I'm in st Petersburg right now and the atmosphere is really great, Moroccan and Iranian fans are making an incredible show and they're challenging each other with different songs. Iranian fans are in big numbers maybe the double of the Moroccans, but Moroccans are more loud and creative. Iranians have only one that annoys me already, I think you know it, the one with the vuvuzela : tuturututu.. Iran.. Anyway lot fairplay ans I think everybody will be for Russia today against Saudis for the opening game.
The hate Portugal gets from pundits and fans is ridiculous. 5 out of 9 ESPN pundits picked Portugal to flop. http://www.espn.com/soccer/fifa-wor...perts-picks-for-champion-golden-ball-and-more
He looks like the actor that plays Manny Ribera from Scarface and Don Eladio from Breaking Bad. Fernando Hierro - Spain Manager Manny Ribera - Scarface Don Eladio - Breaking Bad
ESPN has always been really anti-portugal. Everything i have read or watched has always been nauseating from them.
But didn't you see the internal conflict there? They choose Portugal to flop, yet almost each of them choose Portugal to progress from the group. Ridiculous.
we have been saying this for years, that why 2016 was so sweet for all Portuguese its us giving the rest of the world the Bird (Bird = middle finger)
When I predicted that Iran will be one of the best supported teams in Russia and we would easily outnumber the opposition fans in this group, many people here, including some of the Iranian fans, doubted me.
I was hoping the Taremi injury news was part of the mind games before Iran's match against Morocco, but unfortunately it seems the injury news is real. But as this report suggests, Iran is heading to the match focused and determined. http://www.marca.com/en/world-cup/2018/06/14/5b22679546163fff9c8b45e1.html Determined Queiroz will not allow Iran's problems to become excuses
I really felt the rise in hatred towards Portugal stemming from 2004 when Portugal once again beat the English.. this time on PK.. only to defeat England again in 2006 with the now famous 'wink' after Rooney was red carded. The fact the English/UK/N.America control the majority of the media market... its easy to understand how their hatred towards Portugal can be so easy to see as it is always being shoved in our faces. Nothing i would love more then to meet England at some point in the tournament, play a 0-0 draw.. and defeat them in PK's again..
Bleacher report is weird as well. Most seem to think portugal will go out fairly quickly, yet they are still ranked 5th in their power ranking. Tho there was an article titled "how a country of 11 million became a soccer powerhouse". And i thought how nice.. they are calling us a powerhouse. Then I click on it and it Belgium. Guess u don't need to win shit to be a powerhouse in Sam tighes eyes.
You put way too much stock into Taremi anyhow. And he's the standard definition of an Asian Striker. I remember watching him at PP and his conversion rate was like 1/10. Eventhough, his positioning is impeccable and creates half of those chances himself, he's still too wasteful. We might even see Ghoddos as his replacement in the left wing which won't be that bad at all.
I post a video of Taremi's interview where you hear firsthand that he is not injured and had a knock in that friendly, and theres even videos of him training today before the Morocco game yet you post an article from Marca that has one sentence that says "Taremi was injured" lol. Where do you get your news from?
