Hood has been on balance pretty awful in these playoffs. You think Ty Lue should play him more, and then he actually gets on the court and you realize why he hasn't been playing. Same goes for Clarkson. Whenever they both get on the court they're both major defensive liabilities and they both take really terrible shots. JR, for all his warts and brainfarts, is fairly decent defensively, stays within his role, and is experienced in playoff situations.
Well he’s not JR Smith dumb . I think he does dumb stuff that can hurt his team. Like all that taunting when the game was won and then reacting like he wanted to fight is a case in point. Too many technicals. I thought of Ramos when I saw the finger in the eye - also looked like no accident. I liked Gary Payton a lot but I don’t remember him doing lots of dirty stuff but I also didn’t think Stockton was that dirty and he was voted like most dirty by players maybe? Green is no Laimbeer or Rodman I guess.
At least the series will be over before the World Cup begins, for those who were worried about there not being enough time in a day to follow both.
How did GS win anything pre-Durant? Just checked the stats from the 2015 Finals and some guy named “Iguodala” was third in the team in minutes and second in points. That team lost 20 games regular season and playoffs combined!
It would be hilarious if LBJ team up with 3 more superstars. Imagine: 1. Him joining Boston 2. Him Joining Houston 3. He taking pg3 and Boogie with him to the Lakers
Pretty accurate... Summary of the Finals 😂 pic.twitter.com/4Jj89qkmyQ— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) June 9, 2018
I'm actually a bit deflated by these finals. Don't get me wrong, after all the years watching Warriors suck, and being able to see arguably one of the greatest teams ever assembled...live, is pretty damn cool. But the finals were underwhelming.
Eh. It's more challenge than I thought the Warriors would get in the postseason. The Rockets forced them to the brink. Those really were the Finals.
These have been one of the best playoffs in recent years. Except for the Finals. Would've been different probably, if the Cavs win Game 1 though. I can't wait for people to shit on Lebron on how his Finals record is poor, despite being clearly the best player in the world, putting in superman performances and being surrounded by idiots. Also Durant winning MVP is a joke. Curry all day.
This playoffs? It was alright. A couple entertaining series. Lebron picked a number of his players. Tristan Thompson got 80 mil bro. Jr Smith?
If those players had played atleast half the way they did, when he joined the Cavs, they would've won atleast one game. This team is probably as bad as the first one he took to the Finals. Also without him, they're probably the 5th worst team in the league. He picked them for a certain reason, that doesn't excuse the players not being able to fulfill their role. Even with all that in mind, him losing this series proves nothing. 99% of the time the most talented team wins the championship.
- if you expected more from Tristan and JR, then I think you may be as mistaken as Lebron was when he helped them. -I disagree this team is clearly better. Man for man. Go back and look at that roster. That team only had Larry Hughes. This team has Kevin Love, Rodney Hood, Jordan Clarkson and George Hill. Who were all decent NBA players.
Didn't some of you say the new roster LeBron reassembled during the Trade Deadline was better than the last? That Rodney Hood and Jordan Clarkson were instant upgrades... MannnnNnnNN THEY COULDNT EVEN BENCH JR. GTFO
Hah! Kevin Love is the only decent player, who was in awful form in these playoffs. The rest? Are you seriously trying to prove a point that players, who were rotation players in the historically bad Lakers or Utah Jazz could contribute to a championship team? The Cavs weren't trying to aquire those players - they were trying to lose the deadweight given by the corpses of Wade, Rose and Thomas. George Hill used to be decent. Also at some point, Thompson was considered a player worth the max. And JR could hit a three.
