    Bump lol.
But seriously I think revamping is only half (or even less) of the solution. The biggest problem is the lack of interest for the sport (or just lack of interest for any sports). I think the Korean government can try to create more initiative for more active and healthy lifestyle by promoting sports participation. It'll be a great way to make the people healthy physically/mentally but also a great way for people to socialize with each other.
KFA also created the "Division 7 League" this year with 142 divisions in 16 "regions". There's overall 478 teams. In the future they will create division 6 league and division 5 league. Hopefully this expands and get more people involved in football in a more "organized" environment.

At the same time, I think it's important for people to be play football in a "informal" environment or "street football". This is important for kids because that's where kids improve on their creativity and technical skills.

    Very well said.
Promoting the game at grass-root level is very essential to long-term success of Korean football.

If I had a kid I would not allow him to play soccer in Korea. The air pollution from China makes all outdoor activities very unhealthy. Koreans mostly stay home these days, I hear, getting out of shape.

it's a good thing for Korean footballers considering some of them don't get paid on time.

Ok people keep saying the root of the problem is KFA which I agree with, but also say we need to stop focusing on the manager.
So here's the thread where you guys can talk about the KFA.

Personally I'll bring Ahn Junghwan and Lee Youngpyo into the KFA. Fire all the old times. Apologize to Cha Bunkun and hire him as well.

reforms typically occur after a significant event. but if corruption and consistently mediocre results are not enough to be the catalyst, what will? don't say world cup qualification because the manager will become the scapegoat if we don't qualify, not the federation. realistically, the best chance will be if people like lee yong-pyo takes over because we need people we fresh ideas. less nepotism and more independent and thorough analysis before making critical decisions.

I do why they bother with crap that doesn' work in improving korean football. Youth training, league reform, Asian games exemption...give out exemption for getting to the knockout stages at the world cup. I guarantee overnight improvement.
