Layun has been exactly terrible in every game he's been asked to play the midfield.

I still think Jona is our best option for breaking up plays.

You don't think he looked lost the entire first half of the game against Scotland?

No, I liked him there. I would prefer a midfield with Alvarez as the cdm with Herrera and Layun as mids if Guardado cant recover in time.

    Let's get it.

    -----------------------Ochoa
    Layun---Salcedo---Moreno---Gallardo
    ------Herrera----Alvarez----Jonathan
    -------Vela-------Jimenez----Lozano

Should we expect this game’s lineup to be the one for Germany ?

I think the mid would be Guardado-----JDS---- Herrera.. Up top I would put Hernandez instead of Jimenez. I think that will be the final line up.

If Guardado and Reyes are not ready...then I will want to see this:

    ...................ochoa
    Layun...Ayala...salcedo...Moreno
    ...herrera..Alavarez...j dos santos
    ......Vela...jimenez...lozano...

*i prefer jimenez over hernandez, but i think osorio will play chicharito

**osorio likes to put 5/6 players who are good in the air...6 in this line up

On a side note... about Germany...(someone go create a new forum and become famous)

They will likely play with a 4-2-3-1

    .............Neuer/ter stegen
    Kimmich..boateng..hummels..hector
    ...............khedira....kroos
    ...mueller........ozil.........badass reus
    ....................Werner

Offensively: I think the keys to beat them are:

    1. Lozano keeps kimmich very busy, so he will worry when going fwd. Hector on the other side doesnt have the same despliegue...

    2. Vela needs strategically move to the middle and play the space between kroos and the defense line. Tony is great but he is not a natural DM. Carlos V will expose this.

    3. Tecatito enter in the second half and destroy Hector.

    Gran partido vs Dinamarca.

Sera una muy buena prueba y lo mejor, México jugara de visitante.

Won't be able to watch, so I'll rely on reading this thread after the game.

I watched 30 minutes of the Sweden vs Denmark match Saturday. I wasn't overly impressed with either team. I think getting into scoring rhythm would be the most beneficial thing to get out of this game.

Denmark played at half speed and did not field Eriksen in that game ...

i think if Rafa plays any role it will be an indicator that he'll actually play in Russia.
