He is playing very well. He played as a 10/ enganche this past match in a 4-2-3-1.

He is becoming a great leader and fan favorite.

He’s a gem. Best player at the moment. We’ve been done today by the ref but most guys played well.

Good game from Honda, scored a goal via penalty.

Had a number of dangerous shots on target as well. I never thought I would see Honda and Donovan on the same field in a Liga MX match...

He’s been in a slight slump because of some tactical changes. With Jara being out injured for a few games, Sagal was pushed from the right wing to striker and Honda was pushed to the right wing. I don’t know where he played in his prime but you can tell he doesn’t feel comfortable there and he doesn’t have the speed for that position now. Once we moved back to a 4-5-1 he looked good.

He's played every position aside from center back and goalkeeper as a pro, so he can do a job. But his natural position is CAM, and whenever he's played elsewhere he looks as though he's thinking through a solution rather than letting his instincts take over.

Honda helps Tuzos down Santos Laguna with a golazo and a delicious assist evoking the days when he was annihilating the Eerste Divisie. 13 goals in all competitions this season.

He's probably not coming back for another season. He's great but makes a fortune in Liga MX terms and it's only natural he'll ask for more in negotiations after having a really good season. Everyone wants him to stay but I understand why this was a short term thing.

You will get one of Japan's greatest strikers.

We have been lacking a good striker for the past years, hopefully we can convince him to come. Last year pachuca was interested in junya ito from reysol. Some news were saying He was recommended by Honda himself. If Honda leaves I think pachuca will push for another Japanese player.

Why I don't see Okazaki in Mexican football? Something's off.
Still, for Pachuca it'd a be a great signing.
