Not the biggest surprise: It is expected that Sokratis won't extend his contract and that he will leave the club this summer.

What do u guys think of Favre bringing in Balotteli ? He's had a pretty incredible season ... I think if u look behind the antics, he is still a very talented footballer. He does polarise, but I can't say I would b dissapointed if he joined ... would prefer Michy, but ... well, I'de like to sleep with Miranda Kerr too ... maybe someday, u never know right : )

If Favre has been able to get to him and rein him in then he should be considered, especially and only if Favre would want him ob board. The other big benefit would be that he is a free transfer which would be of immense benefit as Dortmund will need a squad overhaul and could use the savings on other additions.

Another rumor from Bild is that we are interested in Frankfurt's young breakout star Marius Wolf who has predominately been featured on the right attacking flank/forward position scoring 5 goals and assisting on nine this past season. Rumor is he has a 5m release clause.

I have not watched Balotelli play over a whole season in years. Does he still have any attitude or lifestyle problems? In the limited times I see him, he strolls around when the ball is lost and is quite lazy to press. He also lost the agility of his younger days. Cant complain if he is a freebie though.

Aki just said we must return to community and discipline - don’t see Balotelli fitting that description.

It's reported that our old friend Raiola asked whether Dortmund would be interested in Balotteli but they declined the offer. His numbers were good but he still had a couple of reds at Nice and you just can't rely one someone like that. And Raiola is a red flag anyways.

Wolf looked very promising the few times I've seen him. He'd be really cheap and offer a bit more physicality (coupling strength and pace) to our offense. He'd make sense if we get rid of Schürrle or Yarmo, otherwise we have too many. If we don't get him, it's likely he'll move sooner or later, probably to one of our CL quali rivals.

Edit: Checking Frankfurt's lineups, he's versatile but rather used in a position behind the winger in midfield. Not sure how that would translate to our system unless we play with a 3 man backline.

Raiola? Then forget about Balotelli. I don't want our club to deal with that fat f uck ever again.

Per Kicker, Favre is to be announced after Nice's last game and is to officially take control on July 1st. It will be a two year contract with an option for a third year.

In addition, Favre has supposedly decided against the Lichtsteiner signing.

According to Bild, alvaro morata is the new target for Bvb and only for €80M.

Two or three years ago I would have approved of signing Morata, but now I'm not sure, because now that he was given all the playtime he demanded at Chelsea which wasn't given to him at Real Madrid he has disappointed massively, so signing him now seems like a gamble. Another reason I wouldn't want him is because he's Spanish, and don't like it that BVB has Spaniards in the team.

I wouldn't want Morata. I told Chelsea fans, he has yet to proof he can play for an entire season. In fact I would take Balotelli for free over Morata for the big signing on fee. However, taking Balotelli would depend on Faevre wanting and believing in him.

    Well, Hitz is official..

No upgrade whatsoever in the GK department. Is the target for next season the EL?

Well.. The Nagelsmann talks can stop now. Favre is officially at the helm of BVB.

Don't know what to think. Would have preferred JL over Favre. The latter seems like a Stoger kind of move to me - no top coach is available so we do a sideways move at best. Talk about ambition...

    Hitz? Meh. Favre? Meh.

Not the most ambitious start to the summer.

I suppose at least the team should now stop playing Stöger's boring brand of football.

The most annoying thing for me is that local BVB fans are super excited about Favre. How can anyone be excited about a coach who's never seriously challenged for domestic trophies and whose best result in Europe is last 32 of the Europa League? That's a very low bar for a club like BVB. Then again, these same fans think Toprak is a a good player and were rejoicing when Watzke extended his contract.

Local BVB fans are increasingly proving themselves to be every bit as spineless as the club management.

I'm not excited about Favre at all but Reus rates his old coach highly. Of those that were available, I would have preferred someone like Hasenhüttl but competing for trophies isn't the only indicator of a good coach. What was Zidane's resume as a coach on a higher level before he got the job at Real? Neither Klopp nor Tuchel were competing for trophies when we got them, Bosz on the other hand was.

I think with Favre u have to realise that the teams he has coached were never in the remotest, teams that would challenge for titles ... Nice and Monchenglaadbach (who were in the relagation spots when he took over), are not exactly the teams u can expect to go far in any competition. Be patient with Favre, he will come good ... I really like this appointment ... time will tell I guess

No coach has beaten Bayern more times than Lucien Favre in the last 10 seasons. I want to be cautiously optimistic.

So did JK and TTs BVB sides. I hope we can rekindle those kinds of performances under LF.

Sport Bild reports that Wolfsburg are looking to sign Gonzalo Castro this summer. Zorc would be a real idiot if he says no. Fingers crossed that it happens so this poor excuse of a footballer troubles us no longer.

What infuriates me is that Sarri became available yesterday and he would have been a better option IMHO. But it seems that we want to opt for a German speaking coach yet again. As for Castro - sell him. No, better yet - give him to Wolfsburg as a gift. He is worthless either way. Just get rid of that man one way or another. The follow with the removal of Rode, Castro, Toljan, Durm, Sahin, Schurrle, Schmelzer and Toprak.

    DEAL.

    Bye bye Castro (please).

I'm amazed someone will pay for him, maybe BVB are paying a fee to Wolfsburg lol.

Unbelievable. Sarri was available yesterday and he is going to Chelsea!! WTF, our squad is so much better than Chelsea's. I bet somebody called him out on his homophobic slur aimed at Roberto Mancini. The best part is, he was available for free. We wouldn't have had to pay the 3M we did for Lucien Favre.

In other news, how in the blue hell does S04 make 230M!??! http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...bvb-und-s04-in-den-schatten.html#omsmtwkicker
