That looked like one of those goals on Rocket League where everyone leaves it and it rolls into the net. GG! WHAT A SAVE!
Nice when the floodgates finally open. 4-1 and a brace for Laca. That should do something for our confidence on Thurs. 20 mins ago things weren't feeling so good, with so many wayward touches and passes. But since then... p.s. I heard the 49 Undefeated song a few mins ago. That's rare at home games. Another tribute to Wenger I suspect.
We can't afford to lose Rambo. Jack is...whatever. If he signs, he signs. If he doesn't, thanks for the memories.
It just dawned on me that those tears may have been not just due to the physical pain but the emotional pain of possibly missing out on a European cup final and even more important perhaps, a World Cup. Let's hope it's not that bad. But his reaction made it seem worse than your garden variety "rolled ankle"
I don't think it was a coincidence that once Iwobi left the field our offense improved greatly. He wasn't good today. Watching him play, he has great physical tools, but only knows one option when he receives the ball. He seems to have awareness of only one other player. His awareness is sorely lacking. Sometimes the other player he is aware of is the best option. Those are his bright spots of play. Other times he gets the ball and doesn't know what to do, so he dribbles through as many players until he figures out another plan. If he gets to that point. Sometimes he misses the best pass because he isn't aware of other players on the field. And I'm going to disagree with a lot of people out there, but I don't think Ramsey had a good game. He had a great final part of the game, but when AR had to be the creator for Danny, Welbz & Iwobi, he wasn't able to do it. He isn't a pure creator, he is the co-creator with other players. He was lost without Ozil. Adding Auba's creativity and speed played off him better than Iwobi who was woeful. But until that point, we left AR the keys to creating for our front three (along with Xhaka to a lesser degree) and he was ineffective and often deferred to other players to create. We didn't really threaten up to the Auba substitution. The last part of the match he was MOTM quality. Before then he was ineffective in his role. I think his best position is the advanced CM, but he needs another creative player or two to flourish in his natural position and good defensive cover. Hopefully MoEl isn't bad. The last couple months have been his best for us yet. Sad to see him possibly finish the year for us like that, but also very Arsenal of him. Come to think of it, best run of form followed by serious injury, he's pure Arsenal now.
Barca in 2011? Norwich goal? He’s had moments but injuries ruined him What he and Diaby could of been
Was just thinking how we must be big underdogs for the next match(es) against Atletico. We'll be without PEA, Mkhi, Elneny, and probably Ozil. Even if Mesut got some mintues, it's hard to imagine he'd be any good, having just had flu. Hey @mebeSajid, ready for that new thread?
