Rapids visit Fake Salt Lake at the Tinto in Sandy, UT. Saturday at 7PM. TV is Altitude 2. Radio? not sure. RSL are going to wear black because of the Oceans. I don't like RSL but I do love the Oceans, so I won't comment on this. My prediction is Rapids win 3-0. If you have nothing to say about the game, perhaps you can let us know something about the Oceans. Oceans cover 70% of the planet. Oh, and if you are going to game, love travel stories.
Looking at current form and teams, I have some hope for points in this one. We are still missing some key components, but those that are there seem to be meshing. FSL is just not looking great yet, although they have some pieces that might pull together for a rivalry game. Hoping Serna gets the start since Hairston is still out. The rest seem pretty obvious. Although Serna seemed obvious last week. Mason over McBean paired with Badji (not sure Boli is ready to challenge as a starter yet). Would love to see Boli and/or Jackson in as subs when the fsl defense is tired. Speed and finishing could be a killer. Not sure how Gashi fits in just yet, but I don't know he would be ready for 90 yet anyway. And Aigner seems to be a wildcard we just don't know much about his ability to make the field this season. If we play the right lineup, I could even see a win in the bowels of hell (*gasp*). rod.
Aren't the Rapids wearing white because the oceans as well? You can win one of these beauties by creating a cleaner environment during #GreenerGoals Week!♻️: https://t.co/ub88F92TlI pic.twitter.com/1Gu4CpeVDx— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) April 19, 2018

If we get at least a draw, ensuring that FSL can't win the cup without a result here at the Dick in August, I'll be happy.
PRO's assignments: REF: JOSEPH DICKERSON AR1: Ian Anderson AR2: Jonathan Johnson 4TH: Chico Grajeda VAR: Ricardo Salazar . . . and the all-anagram version: REF: D'OH! JERK PICS NOSE AR1: Insane Radon AR2: John-John = No Santa 4TH: Cardiac Jog, Eh? VAR: Alias "Razor Card"
2-1 Rapids win. Goals by Badji and The Blom (he's due). Price picks up another yellow and is out for next game... but not one Rapids fan cares, cuz FSL deserved it.
The Rapids seem to be on the rise. FSL is giving up lots of goals. Can Badji be contained by FSL? Looks like the Rapids have a good shot at winning this one.
2 - 1 win, Price struts up the touchline stuffing a shirt in his shorts just to make sure everyone knows there is a new sheriff in town?
Can't see two clean sheets in a row with the defense still having some marking issues. I'll go with a 2-1 victory; Gashi getting the game winner off the bench.
Bit more about him, first MLS Center last season. http://proreferees.com/2018/04/10/j...kthrough/?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral
Even with a newbie CR I'm pretty sure he will actually have to substitute in and become a player before he can get the g.w.g.. ;>)
At the U-something level a 7 - 1 match might get rated as an "insufficient test" rather than a pass by assessors -- but it could depend on a lot of other factors as well. And it read like his had a lot of atmosphere and excitement. Probably can presume that Price will get the yellow that will suspend him, the 'new' CR may need a little larger body of work before he would get comfortable talking a guy like him off the ledge (preventative/proactive refereeing vs. trying to spot everything and sanction it). Although they should have scouting and some level of 'book' on each of the players they are expecting to see.

Pessimistic. Every other time we've gone to Salt Lake with a good chance to make a statement we've lost. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised last weekend winning a game we were supposed to. It'd also be a nice surprise if we could win an important RMC match when we have a good chance to get a result (on paper).
Not sure why he qualified "league game". We've never played there in any other completion (playoffs, open cup, etc.).
The last time we won in SLC was the last time I traveled their for a game. Sadly I'm here in Denver this weekend, hopefully they prove there's no link between winning and my presence.
2-1 win, goals by Badji and Gashi. Honestly, as long as we don't drop the points in stoppage time, I won't be too upset with a draw as it guarantees that the Cup will be up for grabs at the home game in August. That said, if we're going to get a win at Rio Tinto, this might be our best chance so far. FSL is giving up 2 goals a game while barely scoring over 1, while the Rapids are averaging just under 2 a game while giving up 1. Even with being the road team those stats are solidly in our favor. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2018/04/bring-on-rocky-mountain-cup.html
