No idea. Maybe a friendly? The Eagles seem to have moved on to the UPSL. Mass United as well. In theory they could play in both leagues. Maybe the ASL even counds UPSL matches in its standings. From the scheule listed above, there appear to be four teams in the ASL at the moment.

Ah, to think tha this thread almost had drifted to the second page.

Great article. Whys is it so hard for American soccer to identify and develop elite players? Other American sports do it well despite far less hierarchical and organized systems. Maybe we'd be better off with high school and college ball (with all of their rule differences) as the primary development mechanisms. Heck, NFL teams manage to build good squads (my hometown team being an obvious exception in recent decades :D) despite amateur American football being nearly a different sport than the professional game.

Summer leagues could fill in the gaps in rules/style of play (as they do in wood bat baseball leagues*), but they can be regional, as they are in baseball.

Seriously, this is "unable to organize a kegger in a taproom" territory.

*It took a lot of restraint for me not go into my rant about metal bats in high school and college baseball, but I recognized the above rant was off-topic already.

How do you know? Who are you measuring them against? A quarter of MLB players come from a handful of countries outside the US. Most NHL players come from Canada. And football? We'll never know.

MLS teams are pumping $100 millions into youth academies rather than relying on the college system.. This should pay off in 5+ years.

Lol. Knowing his league, that game either happened a month ago, or will be postponed for some reason.

The quality will be much improved now that their logo has more of a Euro style.
