come and get a team for free... http://aslsoccer.org/latest_vipnews.asp?action=view_newsdetail&id=160 American Soccer League, signs a 5-year deal worth 6.4 million dollars. The deal will sponsor 32 ASL Franchises within the United States, waiving the initial franchise fee. ASL Franchises will be awarded to groups that apply and meet specific criteria, set by the league. Specific regions of the country will be targeted to align with the ASL’s Expansion Plan. The first target markets will focus on the East Coast. In addition to the Northeast Division, the ASL will add a Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Sunshine Division in the next 12 months. Successful Applicants will be awarded an ASL Franchise that will include an annual gift of $25,000 worth of DryWorld kits and gear.
The chance of me having any connection to any of these teams is zero but at least now I know what DryWorld is.
so apparently they think there is no LH USOC qualification tourney needed??? Mass United FC @massunitedfc 50m50 minutes ago Mass United FC to compete in 2018 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup! Stay tuned as USSF today will announce the matchups for 1st round of competition!
Mass United (and 107 other local clubs) is about to begin its qualifying campaign. They play Southie FC later today. Apparently, to them, playing in a qualifying tournament amounts to competing in the US Open Cup. It's bullshit, of course, like everything about this league.
Oh, hey, they managed to announce the time and location of the game almost two weeks in advance! Progress! Unless, of course, they move it and forget to tell one of the teams.

I guess You get all the competitor's challenges until the major league is established, MLS will probably take still couple years to be fully recognized by everyone in the country and simply "too big to challenge" which I would like for States, because You've got huge potential to become one of the powers in modern football
An MLS team could win the CONCACAF Champions League by beating America in Mexico and MLS could, that same year, supply every player on a World Cup-winning US squad and there's a segment of the populace who would still denigrate it.
