YES Adding: Syracuse - last stand from what I’ve heard Akron- program has got worse not better since last coach was let go Michigan State- but this is a mystery why nothing changes IPFW- program has struggled under this coach Ball State- Recruiting and compliance issues may bury this coach Oregon- still not good enough
I have the following positions still open: UTSA (Jason Russell listed as Interim Head Coach) Sacred Heart Montana George Washington Arkansas Pine Bluff Prairie View A&M
George Washington is moving along and having on campus candidates in next week. List includes their current assistant, a former assistant, and a couple current mid major head coaches.
Just a little stat for what's gone on so far this post-season: 40 of 335 2018 positions have come open so far -- roughly 12%.
I count 38 coaches with 1 year at their current schools and 31 coaches with 2 years. If some who otherwise would be 1 or 2 year coaches are in the group that went out this year, those numbers would go up. So, 40 doesn't seem particularly out of line.
Nothing I can find, although they won't be starting up their program until the 2019 season (joining the Missouri Valley Conference in 2020).
One the surprises is how quiet Montana is. They had the coach scandal and they are no moving on from it.
My Hot Seat List of 2017. Will the ones I missed get cut in 2018-19? Seton Hall Pitt Syracuse Temple Georgia LSU Miami Michigan Michigan State Illinois Colorado State Oklahoma ECU Richmond FIU Georgia Southern Wisconsin-Green Bay Towson Loyola, MD UMBC Army American Lafayette SIUE Akron Evansville Robert Morris IPFW App State Iona St. Peter’s Holy Cross ETSU Presbyterian Jacksonville Charleston Southern
Y’all are missing the point... This was “his list” before last season. His question was are the ones on that list that weren’t replaced this off-season going to be next.
Probably taking a while as they have to cold call people to see if they can stir up some interest. I would guess they are struggling to find a female head coach, and the well is running dry. Multiple schools this year alone have had to hire females that are in the club ranks rather than college coaches. Hell, even the asst coach at UNCW is taking personal time away for the rest of the semester because being the interim hc for the spring semester during the states investigation of current hc was "too stressful".
Anyone know of anything yet on these schools? (Have they had finalists on campus yet? - If yes, who?) UTSA Montana George Washington Sacred Heart Southern Illinois Carbondale
