... because we can't attend every match live. This thread is for posters to share information on nice pubs and restaurants in Russia to watch football on TV. I suspect some people have done some "desk research" already and might want to share any useful findings(?) Or if any readers live in Russia and want to share first-hand information?
Most bars and restaurants I've been checking in Russia don't have TVs. I've been searching for good spots in the cities I'm visiting and here is a list I've compiled that have at least a couple good TVs. Also check this site out http://welcome2018.com/en/ Go to Host City >> Restaurants >> Sports Bars (and/or Bars & Pubs) My list, maybe I'll see you at one of these spots! Just web search them and/or plug in the addresses. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KAZAN Brown Bear Grill Pushkin St, 54/1, Kazan, Respublika Tatarstan, Russia, 420000 TopHop Sibirskiye Nomera, Bauman St, 36, Kazan, Respublika Tatarstan, Russia, 420111 Twin Peaks Bauman St, 13, Kazan, Respublika Tatarstan, Russia, 420111 Kazan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MOSCOW Bobby Dazzler Pub Kostyanskiy Pereulok, 7/13, Moskva, Russia, 107045 Moscow Dagda pub Kolokol'nikov Pereulok, 22, стр. 5, Moskva, Russia, 107045 Moscow Hooter's Zlatoustinskiy Bol'shoy Pereulok, 9, Moskva, Russia, 101000 Moscow Jawsspot Nikolskaya St, 25, Moskva, Russia, 109012 Moscow Katie O'Sheas Prospekt Mira, 26, стр. 5, Moskva, Russia, 129090 Moscow Lion's Head Pub Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, 15, Moskva, Russia, 101000 Moscow New Arena Liga Pap Krasnoproletarskaya Ulitsa, 16, Moskva, Russia, 127473 Moscow Old School Pub Bol'shoy Cherkasskiy Pereulok, 15-17, Moskva, Russia, 109012 Moscow Red October MATCH House (Need MATCH House Session Ticket) Bersenevskaya Haberezhnaya, 16/4, Moskva, Russia, 119072 Moscow Berezka Bar Bolshaya Pokrovskaya St, 51А, Nizhnij Novgorod, Nizhegorodskaya oblast', Russia, 603000 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NIZHNY NOVGOROD Billy's Daddy Rozhdestvenskaya St, 22, Nizhnij Novgorod, Nizhegorodskaya oblast', Russia, 603001 Nizhny Novgorod Restaurant Sports Bar Ulitsa Piskunova, 40 корпус 3, Nizhnij Novgorod, Nizhegorodskaya oblast', Russia, 603005 Nizhny Novgorod ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SAINT PETERSBURG Brugge Belgian Gastronomic Pub Макарова наб., 22, Санкт-Петербург, г. Thanks! Very useful. Prices look good too. 300 for a pint of beer. That's basically half price! PS... Looks like "Pub 357" in St-Petersburg is permanently closed. Edit: This looks like a nice place near the stadium in St.Petersburg (might not have TVs but looks good for pre & post-match drinks): Beervana: Приморский проспект, 137, корпус 1, литер А, 282-Н, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia, 197374 http://beervana.pro/
Thanks for the info on Pub 357. I'll go to Mollie's Mews instead. Site: http://molly.su/mews/ Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street, 5, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia, 191186 Close to the Hermitage I'll have to swing into Beervana before or after any match I attend! Alpenhaus is real close to the stadium (just 400 meters/1300 feet east)! Now they've added TVs (didn't seem to have many before) alpenhaus.ru, 17, Yuzhnaya Doroga, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia, 197110, but another spot for beer before or after a match!
Beervana looks a good option, nice find. I’m pleasantly surprised at the prices, some Tripadvisor reports I read suggested more like 600 RUB a pint.
Yeah, I've seen prices like that in some of the places I've researched, but those places tend to be really fancy (like roof tops at 5-star hotels, night-clubs, etc.).
These were mostly close to our apartment on Rubinshteina street, but a bit of research suggests there are some very reasonable and some very expensive places to eat and drink in that area. It looks a good option regardless. Where are you guys staying?
I don't really know the names of the neighbourhoods in St. P but I'm staying on Sadovaya street which seems like a big street that running between the second and third canals south of the river.
Anybody ever been to Katie O'Shea's in Moscow? Any recommendations for drinking cider in the city centre?
I have created a bit of a map to highlight some sports bars and pubs in Moscow. If I have missed any please let me know and I can add them to this. I hope this list will help people roughly find where to watch the games
