Where does Welbz sit on our PK-takers list? I don't recall him taking many in the past.

 

Calhanoglu turns, touches, and shoots from 25 yards to the far post to put Milan up 0-1. Great shot. Xhaka couldn't close him down soon enough. After the restart, Welbeck falls easily in the box to win a PK, which he converts to give us a little breathing room again.

we are applying lots of sustained pressure and good scoring chances here at the end of 1T. Good to see.

 

Was that Mkhi who was in one-on-one w/ the keeper and decided to pass and get intercepted? Messi would've surely shot and scored, even from that acute angle. Seconds later Wilshere showed him how to have go by yourself! Nice finish to the half... hopefully that'll boost our positivity.

 

Taller keeper would have saved Calhanoglu's shot.

 

Definitely a dive by Welbeck, but as we have learned the hard way, they count all the same. We definitely came to life after conceding so let’s hop we keep it up in the second half.

Honestly we have been dead offensively. I get that we just have to prevent them from scoring to move on but Jesus... let’s not let that door open. Shots on goal please.

Just saw the replay of the PK shout from Milan. Looks like ball bounced up off Chamber's upper arm in an unnatural position. No advantage, incidental. But after Welb's soft peno, I'd be aggrieved if I were a Milan fan

You know me well. Honestly I feel a little embarrassed by that dive. I'd rather not win this match on a dodgy PK call as well as a questionable non-PK call. So how about we stick 2 more in the back of the net the proper way, and win it fair and square!

 

Running behind on the game. That is an atrocious dive by Welbeck and an even more atrocious call by the ref. Awful. But helps us so there’s that.
