NYRB was pretty masterful at wasting time. I'm glad to see MLS clubs have learned something from this competition.
Game Over---and now more pushing and shoving Red Bulls win 2-0 in Tijuana The return leg in Red Bull Arena is going to be hotly contested...
Good to see rivalry heating up in this tournament. The more MLS teams compete the best this will get. Hope to see more of this in tomorrow's games but with a Chivas win
Return leg is going to be must-see TV - don't get that too often in CCL. RBNY picked up a few more yellows than they probably would've liked- hopefully Marsch has them coming out a little more disciplined and in a position to take advantage of Tijuana's urgency.
Did Tijuana escape with no yellow cards in that scrum? NYRB was kicked in the back of the leg while play was stopped. Then a Tijuana player kicks the ball at a player down on the ground...
I don't know about after the game, but looked pretty no-cardable except for Etienne who appeared to be New Jersey talking shit first.
Without seeing the official score card, I thought he gave one to the guy that kicked the ball at the player who was down. And they gave one to Etienne Jr.
That was surreal. And what a bunch of cry babies and thugs wearing red jerseys. It's nice to see they can't handle losing a match.
i have no love for the man, but it seems cosmically unfair that felipe didn't get to be a part of rbny's thorough concacaf'ing of xolos
Stick to reporting the news. Political commentary is not your strong suit. Here is proper political commentary: Luis Robles was the kinda wall Donald Trump would be proud of.
When you have a US vs Mexico match, you've eliminated a good chunk of CONCACAF referees who can handle a game that gets a little intense. I think the Saint Kitts and Nevis referee did a poor job at handling injuries and he allowed tension to rise when it was unneeded. On the other hand, atrocious is a little over the top. It was an average to slightly below average game from the crew.
Oh he was there in a Obi-Won Kenobi sort of way. The players on the field were using their Jedi tricks that Felipe showed them.
