Many Japanese players have tried to attain the title of the "Greatest Japanese player" And only a few get the chance to do so. Shinji Kagawa had his chance at Man Utd, where he did so so. Now Ryota Morioka has his chance. Perception and media portrays Hidetoshi Nakata as a legend. So I would say he is considered the "Greatest Japanese player" by consensus of the public. I hope Ryota Morioka surpasses Nakata (however extremely unlikely). Often great people and ones who are remembered, come from nothing. Sic Parvis Magna (thus from small beginings, great things come)
I think, in another universe, Yamada's career - with the right squad choices - would have gone this way. Go Ryota.
Agree. I really thought he could reach higher. Anyway, nice move. Hope he continues to play great. And not stagnate like many players do when the sign for bigger clubs.
Hope he does well! But bad timing though. Anderlecht is a utter mess currently and will be until next season.
I have to add that PK was after he was fouled in the PA. Could have been a perfect debut for him with an assist and a winning goal... But it was still OK I assume. Those things happen from time to time.

Has been told he can leave Anderlecht when the club receives a decent offer. Doesn’t fit in the coach’s system and honestly in the games I saw last year he simply didn’t impress, he even was poor.
