Group C is where it could all change. Gossau has a +12 GD, GCZ II + 27 and Bellinzona +24. These three could totally swap on the last weekend.

GCZ II plays at FCSG II who sit in 5th place.
Bellinzona play home to FC Thalwil who sit in 9th.

1. Possibly the best own goal ever in Vaud.


2. A player for 3rd League FC Bursins-Rolle-Perroy was shown a Red card in the 35th min. He returned later in the match to the stands with a gun. The player has been suspended until 2054! The player is 19 year old and can not play in Switzerland again until he is 55.

Promotion League starts tomorrow. I would keep my eye on Yverdon and Bavois. Both have been ambitious with additions this summer. Stade Nyonnais would be another with Kriens.

 

Every Monday in Lematin.ch/sports they will do a feature on the 6 Swiss Romand Promotion League Teams. Not bad reading.

Two rounds in and Kriens and Stade Nyonnais are perfect with 6 points. Sion II, Old Boys and FC United Zurich are all pointless. Sion II might be one that is relegated, the senior squad is poor this season so far, and that means that many youth players that would have seen plenty of time on Sion II, will be moved up to the senior team, and U18 players will play on the Sion II team. It could be interesting.

I saw them play twice, once vs Etoile Carouge the other against Biel/Bienne. Too bad to see them go away. But with 4 clubs in Ticino that was too many to be supported.
