The Governor of Yucatán just announced an interesting new stadium aimed at bringing Venados de Yucatán to the first division. It'll be the first platinum-rated and fully sustainable stadium in Mexico, although to my liking they really could've done better than the 25,000 capacity. Also kinda sucks that it'll also be used as a baseball stadium to accommodate Leones de Yucatán but you can't always have everything. Stadium's nice though.
Not really a stadium but León just announced the nicest Casa Club in Liga MX by far, named 'La Esmeralda'. Hopefully they start to become a reliable source of Mexican talent going forward. Sucks that the construction of their new stadium got posponed due to the pandemic. Hopefully that follows suit soon. Jesús Martínez and co keep doing things right.
In a story that surprised just about everyone, the city of Tlalnepantla has announced a 1 billion dollar investment from the private sector to construct a 50,000-seat state-of-the-art stadium. Even more surprising, despite its name 'Proyecto Punta Azul' alluding to a possible partnership with Cruz Azul, the promoter has stated that the project has yet to come to an agreement with any team.
