    Short thread again:

    TV: NBC Sports Gold
    Time: 1945 GMT/2:45 ET/1:45 CT/11:45 PT

Let's smoke these guys early, and get the important players rested for the Jose-bus on Saturday.

NBC Gold again. Oh well, another alternate dodgy stream. I found one last time we were on Gold, after some trial & error. I only wish I could only remember how I find these streams each time. Maybe Reddit?? In the good ole days there were certain fairly professional websites which listed a lovely matrix of "providers".

We showed some grit & fight at Turf Moor. Certainly got a VERY lucky PK right at the death, but I felt we deserved 3pts after our turnaround and near-domination in second half. The biggest concern is that we might be falling back into the malaise of not finishing chances clinically. That plus the fact that Huddersfield are no slouches.

But the good news is that we'll rotate most of the 11, and with only a few days rest since the last match, I gotta think that our squad is better/deeper than theirs, so...

what's the level of confidence that the Globe will have this? I'm trying to wrangle my way out of the office to attend.

    {edit: sorry - this is a Chicago specific question.}

You should call them and ask. I've found that pubs usually take such inquiries seriously.

Meanwhile, I notice that this match IS ACTUALLY ON BROADCAST TV, if you're willing to listen to Spanish and you get NBC UNIVERSO channel.

Just caught Wenger's pre-match presser. Some interesting bits:
    • Ozil is iffy, just recovered & rejoining training today... no indication of what the illness was, except that it wasn't a virus as had been suspected
    • Iwobi is also iffy... got a dead leg at Burnley
    • Laca's frequent substitutions and rotation are partly due to his adaptation to the EPL
    • As for rotations this week, he has "zero eye towards United" Saturday. Yeah right!! :p
    • Ozil & Sanchez should be staying, at least through June... unless something "unbelievable" comes along, i.e. gobs of money.

Lucky in the sense that I can very well imagine a world where it wasn't given. Nonetheless, it was a clear foul and the media are indulging Burnley's complaints (and those of other teams in a similar situation). If you don't want to get crushed by late penalties, you can quit fouling any time.

The downside was, it's becoming more apparent that we're just not there for quality. This team (and our recent wins) are reminding me of the RVP-or-bust squads from five years ago roughly. We're basically one good attacking/creative player away from being an 80 point team. And we can't be a title contender until we get at least that.

Me fears the Elneny mid-field rotation with maximum lateral passing and zero link-up play.

I'm willing to believe that players of a general sort similar to Moe or Coq can be very useful for us, but the ones we have at the moment aren't. We probably should buy one, and it's just as important to dump the two that we have.

    Huddersfield....

The last time we met them in the league was 1972, the year before I became a Gooner! (and AFAIK that wasn't even a word back then) So throw away any head-to-head stats you might see leading up to this. They are fairly unknown competition with a manager who's also new to the scene.

The other interesting thing about them historically is that they were he mightiest team in the land back in the 1920's, before their manager got a better offer to join a little club in North London, and build something much bigger. :D

Edit: p.s. http://reddit.com/r/soccerstreams may be of help today? Or NBC Universo en espanol.

Haven't been posting lately but I figured I'd try to come back and make posts from time to time. As an update, I was at the NLD. Was my second live Arsenal match and what a fvcking match it was. Both games I've attended we've won 2 nil. Spoiled rotten. I'm still in a brilliant mood and think we'll win today, however, I hope this isn't a trap game. I feel that we might underestimate Huddersfield because we've got United Saturday. Anyway, 2-1 to the good. Hopefully Laca scores. Here's a couple pics of my trip!

    100% they have it

Haven't been to a match there in years since I moved to the burbs, but I have full confidence that they will have it.

Contrary to what my cable guide said before, Universo does NOT have our match.

And the one stream that's posted on Reddit gives me an error.

Oh well, I guess that tells me that I should go on a bike ride instead. :)

The Reddit stream started working. It's Russian :( and very shaky. But as I tune in at 13' I see that we're already up 1-0!! And Martin Tyler is on the call. As much as I like all that, bike ride with my son on a balmy day here seems like a good move. Maybe they could just make it 2-0 before my departure to put my mind at ease. ;)

Edit: Sounds like Martin Tyler AND Alan Smith. That's one of the very best combos they have to offer. I still think Martin is the best, but I miss Alan perhaps more because he's so rare these days.

I'm stuck with following ESPN Gamecast at work. looks like we are well in control, just not creating many chances into 1T stoppage time. Great link-up play for the goal though.

I'm back. Giroud in for Laca. Just a rotational swap? No injury I hope.

The last trip I made in February, I met a season ticket holder at the pub after the match who gave me his contact information for my next trip. He's part of RedAction and has a few connections so he managed to find me a ticket. I've been really fortunate to meet a few lifelong season ticket holders who have become friends. So thankfully I won't have to go through Arsenal America anymore. I'd definitely recommend becoming pals with season ticket holders for this reason lol.

I had/have the same good fortune. My friends just so happen to have seats 15 rows up right at midfield. This pic is from Fall 2012.

My good Russian stream died at 60' so now I'm on another one which has 3 ad overlays blocking the screen. Not clicking any of those!! So I can listen and sort of watch. ;)

    Giroud! 2-0.

Except for that hiccup at Koln, we are on quite a roll recently. :D :D

And quickly 4-0!!!! This time by the maestro himself... Mesut Ozil! :D :D :D :D

And Ramsey performs the usual Ozil role by slipping a beauty of a through ball to Ozil.
