Hervé Renard getting the best out of domestic managers since 2010:

    4-2 vs Huh Jung-moo
    3-1 vs Shin Tae-yong

    A decent French manager imo.

안정환 : 내가 히딩크감독이여도 한국에 안온다

Ahn Jung-hwan: "If I was Hiddink I would not come to Korea."

안정환: "한국 국가대표중에 이렇게 못하는 팀은 처음인것 같다. 대한민국보다 못하는 팀은 아직까진 없어보이네요"

Ahn Jung-hwan: "I think this team is by far the worst of all KNT. I guess there's no team that's worse than Korea as of the moment."

STY won't be affected by this result. I can hear the excuses now:

"This was an experimental lineup - not the real one."
"It was just a friendly - we didn't take it seriously. We were just testing things out."
    "We were just unlucky."
"Morocco is really a very dangerous team."
"The goal we scored was really more indicative of how well we played than the three goals we gave up."
"We only called up non-K-League players. It's a sign of how strong our K-League actually is - the team falls apart without them."
"The players didn't try hard enough. These guys on foreign teams are lazy and complacent and undisciplined and they're not true patriots."
"Our talent pool is so weak - no other coach could've done better."
"STY has only been the national manager for four months. You can hardly expect him to be doing well with such little time."
"It's too late to switch to a new manager now - we're committed to STY. After all, he's already been national manager for four months."
"It would be a knee-jerk reaction to fire STY just because he's done very poorly in every match he's managed."
"We don't have enough time to look at hiring a new coach. Who would even be interested? What, you think someone's just gonna text our KFA director to say he'd like to take on a role with the team? Yeah right, I'd like to see that."

damn this sucks. I believe it is not only STY tactics. We just dont have capable CB's, RB and a defensive midfielder to win a match. I dont know if changing coaches will all of a sudden help us win

Korea hasn't had a competent backline since 2002.

    2010 wasn't so bad.

The Nigeria game was incredibly frustrating to watch, Korea conceding a penalty and ALMOST losing the match had Nigeria's striker not been appallingly bad at finishing.

The Argentina match, even though they had a monster team, was also hard to watch.
Korea was focused 100% on parking the bus with very little success.

It's hard to say our line was bad when those two NTs were just superior to us, at least Argentina was. Nigeria had Yakubu in his prime and Obafemi Martins who can outrun a damn cheetah if he wanted to.

Well, they were superior after all and that's what matters the most.

The Uruguay match, however, was a different story. Very even game until Suarez pulls that crazy goal at the end.

yeah...Diego Forlan and Suarez. Terrifying. Our NT did do well enough defensively against Uruguay

STY: "We have to accept that we were the worse team in score and in the way we've played. We will prepare well to show a good performance at home in November"

    Just... f'ck off please!!!

It would have been better and deserved if the Team did not qualify for the WC.

Based on what I saw, the Overseas Players didn't care, gave half-arsed effort, showed no passion.

Team lacks motivation. We need changes, be it the manager or the KFA staff or the players. Something needs to be done quickly.

But Uruguay were sitting back for ~80 minutes of the match. When Suarez turned it on, we were no match.

    50% fault on Shin Tae-yong
50% fault on that dumpster fire defense. A lot of those guys should be nowhere near the NT.
