The distance between the players remains the same .... so much gap.

With Banega and Biglia , we'll never compete in 2018 unless we miraculously win this one. They're nothing outstanding in term of skills and determination.

At least they're playing a lot faster and waay more vertical than the Uruguay game... that match was a pain to watch.

However, they're playing a little too fast. You can sense the desperation. They need to tone it down a bit and think, but I do like the fact that there is a lot more vision and creativity as compared to the horrible sideways passing tactic we saw in the last round.

On another note, Benedetto's trash.. Is it clear now that Alario should have without a doubt been called up instead of him? And no, this is not a River vs. Boca thing, the difference in quality is just clear to anyone who understands anything about the sport.

Right... right... a year ago you went from saying Sampa would be a great manager to saying he is a fraud. You just don’t like him because you see him as a kirchnerista. Isn’t that right?

It seems like everyone is on the pitch doing something except Banega! The dude couldnt make 1 good pass and leaves so much space behind him defensively. Sampaoli has to figure this out and they gotta score

Icardi should play if he's fit enough. His offball movement is a whole lot better!

Benedetto's movements are honestly very good. He just doesnt have the skill at this level (see his pass to dimaria on the counter)

Why cant they just move di maria to the left and put dybala on the right???

Mascherano, as usual, stepping up in the important games and putting the team on his back. As bad as his club form has been for the past 2 years, at least the guy gets it (can't say that for everyone else). Good call by Sampa on starting him tonight, hopefully he doesn't make me eat my words in the second half.
