I'm through page 1 and this is one of the most poorly-written complaints I've ever seen.

The law firm representing the NASL only has five attorneys and their credentials, both academically and professionally, are...not great for this kind of lawsuit.

Now through page 3. You can tell this lawsuit has no merit because this is one of their first arguments:

"The rules create anticompetitive barriers to entry that serve no procompetitive objectives and stifle the ability of consumers to decide for themselves which leagues they view as being in the top or second tiers of men’s professional soccer in the U.S. and Canada."

They're also appealing to how other countries structure their soccer leagues. Suffice it to say, American courts have a well-established tradition of not giving a ******** about anything that other countries do.

I've been reading through it too.

I've muttered the words "are you fcuking serious" more than once.

    1. Are you fcuking serious?

    2. As I recall the history of TOA and the NASL, that's all a total lie. The NASL were the ones demanding higher standards.

NASL has just signed its own death warrant---NASL started the legal action but MLS attorneys will be the ones to keep the process going and going with motions until NASL goes bankrupt (it's almost there right now). I would be surprised if the case ever sees the light of day in judge's chambers.

So having read the first couple of pages and the nasl statement....

    1) so when did Rocco become head of the nasl governors? I looked up press releases and can't find it.

    2) the nasl has gone full cosmos fan conspiracy theory.

Last man standing? I'd imagine of USSF rejected the appeal, he owners for most of the other teams are looking for the door.

I think you mean USSF's attorneys.. MLS isn't named in the lawsuit.

You're overlooking the vast MLS-USSF conspiracy!

    Also, the Illuminati is involved.

Wait till the NASL sees the lawsuit I'm filing against them for age discrimination. Not one NASL team has signed me. In fact, I have not even been offered a trial, just because I'm not "young" enough. If that isn't a clear example of age discrimination I don't know what is. Here is my attorney. The NASL better get ready to pay up, he's going to kick some serious butt:

This lawsuit is a gouda amount of carping and panzering to their fanbase.

Sorry. that's the best I could come up with on short notice.

I mentioned this over at Reddit as well....but based on what the NASL is trying to pull now, I'm expecting North Carolina FC and Indy Eleven to announce very soon that they are leaving the league and moving over to the USL effective next season. No way they're staying around for this shit show....especially considering the fact that:

1.) They were both SUPER close to leaving anyway last year

    and

2.) They're both trying to get MLS expansion slots.

I have wondered about exactly this too. There is an MLS expansion angle here. Are you really going to go along with this lawsuit if you dream of moving to MLS?
