Squires normally sticks to football, but not this week... https://www.theguardian.com/politic...vid-squires-on-theresa-mays-deal-with-the-dup
I'm not sure we need satire now, do we? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-40251999 May tells MPs: I got us into this mess and I will get us out I suppose it's only fair to say, she's got the tories into this mess but it was Cameron that put her, (and us), into the basic mess.
After having said she'd 'Crush the saboteurs' prior to the election, she's changed her tune just a tad, since... https://www.theguardian.com/politic...lp-create-policies-amid-tory-plot-to-oust-her Theresa May will move to bolster her precarious position in Downing Street with an unprecedented invitation to Labour to help her create policies for a post-Brexit Britain as she attempts to quell a Tory plot to replace her. I thought Cameron was going to be the worst PM since Thatcher but it looks like May's going to give him a run for his money.
She is trying to set a U-Turn record I think. It's quite astounding just how much of a calamity this current Coalition of Chaos are.
Dear @theresa_may, you asked for ideas so I've sent you our manifesto. I hope it helps to “clarify and improve” your policies #ForTheMany pic.twitter.com/mWu1ezlzLQ— Jeremy Corbyn (@jeremycorbyn) July 11, 2017 When you're getting trolled on the internet by a fella who's nearly 70, it's maybe time to re-think your approach
That bugger's beginning to look like the grim reaper the further we get from his presidency.Talk abut the kiss of death Also, I liked this bit from the article... But the authors claim May became determined to stay on after the Brexit secretary, David Davis, said he would support her, and she received a text message from Boris Johnson in the early hours of the morning urging her to keep her “chin up”, and promising: “We are with you and behind you.” The pair were considered the most likely leadership contenders in the aftermath of the catastrophic election result. Yes, I BET they bloody did. The tory leadership is looking increasingly like the proverbial poisoned chalice.
They knew seeming strong behind her would get them in a good position to take over in a couple of years time. Anyway, Brexit, it's going really well isn't it!
Looks like the NEC have decided to dictate a female-only shortlist for any upcoming general election in my constituency. As long as it's a local it should be OK. If not and they helicopter someone in, it might be a problem.
