Shin Tae-yong has a much higher chance at becoming public enemy/crucified by the public and media than Hiddink will ever be or get, and his situation won't be anymore different than of Hong Myung-bo, it will be Hong Myung-bo 2.0 if we fail at the WC.

Funny how you are always harsh on players who perform pretty well while you always try to defend shitty players like KYG and JSR.

I know. But I'd rather see him being a public enemy than my childhood hero.

If we were to fail at the WC under Hiddink, would it make him any less of a manager than he already is? He will still be remembered as the world class manager that got us to the semi's of 2002 WC.

But he wont be praised as God like he is now. Pretty sure Korean fans will make fun of him as soon as he doesnt do well in WC. Also, I believe you already know how quickly Korean fans change their opinions about players/coaches

His status won't change much at all, and he'll still be treated with hospitality and or "royalty". Only bubbled plastics might probably give him the stick or two, but most knowledgeable fans won't criticize Hiddink despite a failure at the WC as they are well aware of the situation that we've been in for a long time.

Problem is, most Korean fans are plastics. Dont forget about 기레기s. You can tell by just seeing so many fking ppl making fun of their own players when they cant play regularly in their teams instead of cheering them up. I am not talking about retards who made wrong choices like PJY. I am talking about PJS, LSW, PSH.. etc.. Also, I am pretty sure you already know what happened to Cha and his family in 98.

Exactly how did I defend Kim YG? I stated they were all poor in the 1st game but he was slightly better compared to Kim MJ. You guys can hate him all you want but considering the pathetic option/pool of defenders for Korea, its important he does well.

On JSR... yes, I defended him because after 2-3 yrs of experimenting with other GKs, I haven't seen anyone convince or perform better. Kim SG.. again, didn't convince in the past 2 WCQs, including having his own butterfinger moment (of which, he shows it often in J League too).

Netizens are wishy-washy as hell but you're overreacting a bit too much. The criticisms towards Hiddink if any would be far more tame than it would a public outcry, and as far as expectations are concerned, the majority are certainly not expecting another "2002 WC miracle". Also, we're well past the '98 mark so no point in bringing up Cha Bum-kun's public outcry.

Very happy to see us go through. I will never take WC appearances for granted ever again.

Congrats to KNT for getting the job done for the 9th time in a row! Esp the players.

The KNT definitely needs a better coach than STY.

We have our strengths alright, but we're very weak in every aspect, and it's the 쓰레기 정신력 + 집중력 that's been severely taking a huge toll on our team.

Of course we have : last two games we improved our defense organization, passing, movements and motivation were far better than 2 months ago. But still many fields to work on if we want to get point(s) at the WC.
