McCaffrey is the poor man's Heather O'Reilly. I agree that she's always a threat out there on the flank.

I am really excited to see this Japanese International play for my home town team. I have seen some footage on youtube of her with the Japanese National Team and am thinking the Red Stars may have the final puzzle that will put them over the top in their run to win the NWSL Championship. But we'll see. If she comes in on Saturday, I'll give you my opinion of what I saw.

Judging from this video it looks like she should play. And with #12. :giggle:

I have never felt so disappointed and down leaving Toyota Park as I have tonight.

I feel as if this team will never win another game this season.

MRAD12: Please hang in there!!!!! CRS needs your support (they are as disappointed as we are), your fellow CRS loyals need you to stay optimistic! There are several games left and we are still in third place, all alone. We are in the hunt! I was at the game, too, and must admit that the first half was some fugly football from CRS (could not complete passes, etc - likely due to the revised line-up and some fatigue?). We have to admit we could have scored five goals, how close we were on those occasions but they did not go in - just one of those nights. I was in shock how Seatte scored those goals at the very end (only second time in NWSL history, I read, so yes, shocking to us and historically) - I was sure we were going to win that game - winning ugly - but a win in hand.CRS will re-group, I am sure, and they need our support! I have dusted off my rose-colored glasses!:thumbsup:

All teams with at least one Japanese player in their roster will reach play off. :ninja:

    So I spoke.

Edit: this includes Seattle Reign FC (Kawasumi, Utsugi), Chicago Red Stars (Nagasato) and also North Carolina Courage (Yuri Kawamura played at least 6 or 7 games, before being ruled out for the reminder of the season with an ACL injury). So there is just one play-off spot up for grabs: the other ones are already taken. :p

Of course. But yesterday's experience was the most sad feeling I ever felt leaving TP and that includes all the Fire games of the past years when they just stunk it up.

I lay the blame on yesterday's game strictly on Rory. Period.

What happened to all the people who used to post here? It is just me and mrad12 and a couple others very occasionally.

    What happened? Twitter and such.

I guess new social media basically killed forums like this one. We can anyway try to resist as long as possible, since we like thorough discussions, long posts and reliable archives, and all the things that can't be expressed in just a few characters.

Destined to die, maybe, but I always liked resisting as long as I might, in sports also. :coffee:

I don't think destined to die. Maybe destined to be a small group, but I don't think everyone will sell out to the minimal character trend.:)

for several weeks my PC was freezing up every time I came to BS. Guess they were trying to make more advo money by implementing new spam into the site, but it might of turned off regulars.

the international side of woso of BS has died out as well. Here I take it it's due to the traditional powers, Germany, France, Sweden were doing so poorly as well as their men's sides doing much better. And then so called purists fans furious that the Euros were dominated by more direct, attacking style.

the NWSL might be suffering as well, the two games a week schedule seems to take the energy out of everybody as the play has become so mundane of just kicking it up to to the farthest player, not much other strategy involved(at least at last nite's Sky Blue/Breakers games). They don't believe in hiring outside coaches; Paul Riley was considered the worst coach ever at Portland, now he's considered the greatest thing since cream cheese over at the Courage!.
But as far as tactics, I've seen better at u14 or high school level.
