nah, it's the right formation for him. somebody asked in last week's thread why we do we always do so poorly in week 1 and i think it's because wenger treats preseason like just a run out without giving 1) players a chance to play where they will be expected to end up - like elneny spending his preseason at centreback then starting the season in midfield - or 2) giving players a chance to partner each other to learn to play together - i don't think ramsey and xhaka spent any time together. or ozil and lacazette. xhaka-ramsey in the midfield is still the best chance we have of doing anything worth a damn but they need time to actually play with each other.
10 more mins. Any panic buys? Silvestre? The korean ninja? Or the Brazilian who a legend in defending? Perhaps we can call Jeffers back
I would rather see .........ozil ..Ramsey...new cm ..........xhAka Use him as a dlp Not mobile enough with our shit defending
He should've left two years ago and most certainly should've left last year but his arrogance and ego won't let him. He'll die before he leaves sadly....that or he will stay long enough to fully destroy whatever legacy he may have left.
the same way pieters got a foul called on walcott by leaning on him and falling down without ever really trying for the ball?
It's weird I don't think I like any player in the club like I did back in the day Maybe Kos but not one player I really rate highly or am excited by It's gonna be a long, shit season fellas
This is my thought as well. Wasn't convinced the new tactic towards the end of last season was the savior so many thought it was. Still not convinced. Add in all the contract ridiculousness for however many members of the squad and the fact that many teams, not just the usual top 4 teams, have strengthened and we're looking at a very long road ahead.
That referendum happened last spring I'm afraid. Why don't you try to just live with it for the season. Otherwise you're going to be miserable… and make us more miserable in turn.
I'm excited about Laca and Kolasinac BUT I completely get where you're coming from. We've seen enough from most everyone to know what we've got and what they can do and it definitely doesn't provide excitement or comfort in my opinion.
