RWB? Chelsea have reportedly contacted Paris St-Germain defender Serge Aurier LWB? Gareth Bale (his original position in fact) Although United are most likely to seal the dal for Bale by giving up their keeper (according to some sources) Andreas Christensen to be used in a bid to seal the transfer of winger Antonio Candreva, 30? Virgil van Dijk to Chelsea for £60m?
Man to this day I'm still pissed that Daniel Levy ********ed us out of Luka Modrid. It doesn't help that I walk by his signed Croatia jersey every day either.
That rumour of Kovacic being offered to Juve on loan with an 25M option to buy seems too good to be true.
apparently we are feeling the move for him out as well. line up V Arsenal? We need more depth 3-4-3: Courtois | Cahill, David Luiz, Azpilicueta | Alonso, Kanté, Fàbregas, Moses | Morata, Batshuayi, Willian
With the complete lack of somewhat credible rumors or news articles in the past couple days it seems like we are waiting to make any moves until after the Arsenal match. Maybe we'll throw it to get the board acting a little more desperately
This has been a very unusual transfer window. To sell all depth & wait to buy replacements this long, i feel like there must be other issues. On top of that, the only time we should be selling is if we have an upgraded replacement. I don't see us upgrading over players such as Oscar and Matic at the moment. (Minus boko who still has to prove himself)
It feels like we're in a FIFA career mode, and we're clearing out players before buying 6 players on deadline day. Except, this isn't FIFA, and that deadline day madness won't happen.
Somewhat similar situations, I agree. Point stands, though. When more CMs are out than in, depth will suffer, which it has. The next three and a half weeks should be interesting.
André Gomes being offered around by Mendes apparently. Would take him if the fee is close to what Barca paid for him tbh
Andre Gomes is pretty bad. Barca's midfield was quietly very mediocre last season. How's Perisic coming along?
I'm really disappointed with Conte's public mourning....especially since his text to Costa did not do us any favors in as far as getting Atleti to pay top dollar. Roman strikes me as the kind who does not want 'things said to the media' but yet Conte just can't seem to stop hinting at how unhappy he is. I can almost understand the club not wanting to change their academy policy and transfer policy for a manager who has not extended his contract. I still maintain our biggest signing in the last 14 or so years has been free and his name is Roman.
Can anyone answer this? It wouldn't be Drinkwater or Barkley I'd take the Ox from Arsenal - to satisfy the homegrown quota and I think Conte could turn his speed and strength into a decent wing back. I would take Alex Sandro . . . "Alex Sandro is a Juventus player, and he will stay one," Allegri said after Juve's clash with Tottenham Hotspur. However, Juve can only offer the lad a mere 95k a week and we all know he would earn more with Chelsea. We are watching and we are waiting. Marco Verratti - although all indications are that he will stay with PSG. Up front? I would pass on the wonder kid from Monaco. I think we have a great striker in Batsman and we have Moratta . . .I would look to Gareth Bale to strengthen our wings. And of course it is most unlikely that we will get Sandro, Verratti and Bale. Certainly it would be expensive. But they would certainly take us to another level. Hopefully there are cheaper and unknown talents out there waiting to join us.
He's fine. Not ideal. I trust him to play anywhere. He's that kind of player. Just not the answer to our depth issues at wingback.
