Rapids at the San Jose Earthquakes, Saturday, 6PM. @ the San Jose soccer stadium, TV is Altittude, Radio too presumably. 950AM Somebody else can get the important stuff like refs and series history, etc... I dropped cable near the end of June. I was out of town for every Rapids game in a light month (out of town most of the month, actually), I had no interest in the Gold Cup, and I figured this being a non-WC, non Euros, non Olympic summer is was a good one to drop it (for awhile at least). How should I watch this game? MLS have a package where you don't have to pay for the whole league? Anyone do Fuball TV or other providers? I will also want to watch the All-Star game, I enjoy that. Where should I start a thread on BigSoccer? Thx. You can also discuss the game if you like. My prediction is Rapids loose 2-1.
MLS package won't help you as Altitude enforces a blackout of 48 hours on MLS Live before the game is available in markets Altitude is in.
Good to know. So I have to find a way to get Altitude. I should have also said I won't illegal stream it, to me that is unethical. It's possible I find a friend's house for this one (or skip it), go next week to the home game, then get cable again or something mid-August.

Per the post, Pablo will be starting MacMath. Have to admit, I feel MacMath's pain ~ we are lucky to have him!
San Jose: 5-1-4 at home, 14 GF, 10 GA, +4 goal differential at home Colorado: 0-7-1 road, 3 GF, 14 GA, -11 goal differential on the road San Jose's only home loss was 4-2 to the L.A. Galaxy, at 5-4-1, the best MLS road team. Colorado's only road point was last match. Form (last 5): San Jose: WWLLL Colorado: LLWLT Neither team is playing well. San Jose is a point out of the last playoff spot, but well behind Vancouver in PPG. Colorado, Philadelphia, and D.C. United are trying to stir the Wooden Spoon, though Colorado has two games in hand on the other Spoon contenders. Prediction: 1-1 draw. Boring, sloppy match. No particular reason for expecting a draw.
He ref'd the Spurs-Roma friendly earlier this week. Pair of controversial PK calls--called one that looked soft, didn't call one that looked like a pen.
Grajeda is an interesting ref. He's worked MLS games for a lot of years. He's quick with the whistle, but a bit reluctant to start sending people off. His pen calls have always been head scratchers. (I remember the game deciding one he gave the Gals against Colorado a couple years back.) He's one of the few refs who has carded diving, and I like that. He has good mechanics and gets in position to make good calls, and there are a couple refs who don't do that. Overall, he's not a bad ref. I'd take him over Toledo or Bazooka Fists any day.
0-0 draw. The two worst offenses in the Western Conference means this isn't going to be high scoring. This is a game the Rapids could steal though with San Jose's defense being in the bottom third of the league. The problem is we're a lousy road team. So I expect lots of bad soccer and no scoring. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2017/07/do-it-now.html
Are you saying 0 shots on goal, or 0 goals. Also, "lots of bad soccer" seems to be the catch-phrase from most games this season?
Thinking about this game, I expect we can hold a clean-sheet. I also think with the focus on offense, we get a cheap goal. So, I am predicting (gasp!) a 1-0 win. It is time. If Da Fonte plays, then I predict a 1-1 tie as usually makes at least one mistake that costs us a goal. Note that I am not saying great soccer will be played. rod.
You guys have a better than average chance of beating us today, Godoy and Hyka are out so Salinas will probably start, or worse yet Dawkins

Pablo going with his patented "Well it worked last week so I'm not going to change anything/much" strategy.
