We signed Torres and Rafa Benitez became our manager. Those, to me, are on equal levels of crazy/unpredictable as us signing Aguero so.. I wouldn't totally count it out, though I generally agree.

Not just that but a e signed Torres after the knee injury when everyone could see he wasn't the same player he once was. Even tho he always seemed to light us up post injury or not.

Right now I'm feeling pessimistic about any top striker deals. Will be glad to be proven wrong.

Aguerro is 29 with a long list of injuries.

Watch we sign Luis Suarez on deadline day.

Dude we won that the CL with possibly the ugliest starting 11 I can think of. Hell we started Bertrand as a LM in a 4-2-3-1. Kalou and Bosingwa got starts too. It was an ugly game for us and he came on at the end. Not exactly a glory filled game for him.

    But it was a win.

    Against Munich.

    In Munich.

Truth... but said win doesn't justify the 50 million we spent on him

If there is any truth to it, it seems like a no-brainer. I still don't know how I feel about Morata but Conte's a fan so whatevs.

I've been saying along 100 for the pair is about right. Pay it and be done with it.

Morata will have to adapt to the EPL but it's not like he's unproven. He was great at Juve and in champions league. He was Madrids best ST last year too. He put the same goals and assists as benzema in half the time. Conte wants him. Let's trust our coach and get him.

Saw reports that Danilo went to Madrids board and asked them to lower their price and that he's agreed to terms with us... no clue if true but hope it is. Especially if that deal paves the way for Morata and/or Sandro (tho he is very unlikely)

We dont spend over 40m on players. Will be interesting to see if we do for a striker when every club knows we need one.

I think the club is trying to play it smart and wait for Milan to commit to buying either Auba / Belotti or Morata, once that happens then we will be the only team looking for a striker that can afford either Auba / Morata and Madrid will have to lower the price if they want to cash in for Mbappe.

Will it work? Not sure. I just don't think £75M for Morata is a good move.

€100M for Morata and Danilo is a fair deal for all parties involved.

Market has changed. That will too. I doubt we will spend like Manu or Real but we will spend higher figures especially for strikers

So 75 is too much but 100 for both is ok. So you Danilo at 30 and Morata at 70?

What are the general thoughts on Danilo ?

We are living in a world where Kyle Walker gets 50m!

All it takes is one club to bid against itself and spend money like that on a defender.

City now have the three most expensive defenders ever.

Walker - imagine if he could cross
    Mangala - garbage
    Stones - garbagey-ier

seemingly reliable reports that BvB have closed the window on Auba leaving. they are not willing to deal anymore as it's too late in the window for them. we'll see if that's true, but it would mean we really are up against it with Morata.

Danilo would be great at RWB with 3 at the back, but meh at RB with 4 at the back. Azpi would no doubt start there in a back four though.

depth at wingback, or rather, an ACTUAL wingback compared to Moses. also i believe he can play on the left in a pinch as well? seems like i saw him fill in there some at Madrid, but could be wrong. not saying he's the answer there of course. either way, it's a player we need at a good price (in this market).
