I go to the middle of nowhere for a few days and come back to a bunch of stuff. Baka signing, Chalobah leaving, a female Doctor Who. Baka, ok, cool. Verratti next, please. Chalobah? I'm mixed. I had high hopes for him for ages. He's looked solid when he's played, done well at every level of youth and he's showing promise. Then he gets sold. I wanted him to succeed, but at the same time, it's incredibly difficult to implement youth when you want to win. So here's hoping Christensen and Abraham make it. However, I also had hopes for Sinclair and McEacharan. As for the female Doctor, cool.
He's under a professional contract.. surely there can be some grounds to slap him with a huge fine/******** him over in general.
Aguero joining is a non event. Not happening in a 1000 years. Auba or Bellotti are the only viable options to get top strikers. Personally I think we aren't getting either and will settle for a limited striker.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...eral-striker-targets-replace-diego-costa/amp/ Little summary of basically everything that's going on transfer-related. Interesting tidbit on Conte liking Benteke but would only sign him as backup, first I've heard of that. Seems like there's gotta be something to trigger the first domino falling before any other signings are made
Juve were always in for De Sciglio. Don't see Sandro coming any more. If it was going to happen it would have happened IMO. As gutted as I am that Bonucci moved for such a reasonable fee in today's market, I can understand why he wanted to go to Milan for his sons medical treatment. I don't see us paying more then £70M for any player this summer. Belotti is not going to happen. Morata seems like he is off to Milan. The only way that I see Madrid selling Morata is to fund an Mbappe transfer which I thought was unlikely, but if they are willing to sell Morata for £70M to Milan then I am pretty sure Mbappe will go to Madrid. If Morata goes to Milan then Madrid will start spending and I think we will start seeing more deals getting done. Madrid will be the big winners if they are able to turn Morata + Danilo into Mbappe. With Morata off the table the only two options would be Auba or Sanchez. I think we will end up with one of the two. Personally, I would be happy with either but would prefer Alexis.
It'll have to involve one of the clubs we want to sign a player from now or more likely Costa imo. Lukaku to United made the situation too complicated to get anything squared away quickly. It does seem like Danilo could easily be ours right now though so I'm kind of wondering what the hold up is there, unless we just haven't made an official bid yet for one reason or another. Is it just me that thinks the Aguero rumors aren't that ridiculous? Maybe contingent on whether or not City (or ourselves) land Alexis, but coming here on a 2 or 3 year deal after doesn't seem too crazy to me
Kind of think the same tbh... that would be insane if we got him. Hazard linking up with him good lord...
I've always hated Aguero but, to be fair, Costa has always been at least as hateable if not more so. And he's a better striker than Costa. I'd be crazy to say I wouldn't take him. That being said, of course it's not happening.
