Zehnder's going back to the Swiss league, so adding the talented and significantly more experienced name of Simic to their squad, should only be considered another piece of smart recruitment practices by a otherwise young upstart team like Freiburg, no?

As new recruits go Rebecca Knaak seems OK for Freiburg, but I also wouldn't be shocked to see Simic become the latest senior domestic international leaving Wolfsburg, to suddenly revitalize her football career outside of the leagues top team...:whistling:

Your post made me discover that Frauen-Bundesliga website have a so good, complete and well updated data-center about all single players. That's good to know, thanks! :)

apparently USV Jena don't got much money; they wouldn't extend the contracts of arguably their best players, Hearn & Arnold, So they're moving to upstart, FC Koln this up coming season. Guess Jena can always hire more Eastern Euro players..........

Well, they lose top scorer of Bundesliga but they gain top scorer of Nadeshiko League. Frankfurt signed Japanese international Kumi Yokoyama and she's quite the goal machine.

Anyway, I always liked Mandy Islacker and I hope she does well in Munich also.

    2016/17 = #1 Islacker 19 goals - 5th place 1. FFC Frankfurt
    2015/16 = #1 Islacker 17 goals - 3rd place 1. FFC Frankfurt
    2014/15 = #25 Islacker 5 goals - 3rd place 1. FFC Frankfurt (#1 Sasic 21 goals Frankfurt)
    2013/14 = #6 Islacker 12 goals - 11th place BV Cloppenburg (#1 Sasic 20 goals Frankfurt)
    2012/13 = #6 Islacker 15 goals - 9th place FCR 2001 Duisburg (#1 Ogimi 18 goals Potsdam)

Is it fair to say over the past 5 years, Islacker's probably the leagues most consistent goal scorer available for any team to poach from a direct rival right now..? At any level, her past record in this league seems to suggest she's a guaranteed goal scorer given regular football.

Plus Frankfurt should be thankful that it's only Islacker leaving right now, as I can only imagine more clubs making persistent inquiries into Hendrich's plans for her immediate future.
I was going to wait until we'd seen other clubs do a little more business, but I would already suggest people start to consider this transfer the most significant foreign arrival to the league next season.

It's been reported, BM payed a record fee for Islacker, who should be making around 100K Euros. BM also got Hoffenheim's best player(Demann) Sand's top fwd(Damnjanovic) as well as Jena's Vonkova.
Too me, it seems like continues stagnation in the Bundesliga as other clubs do not like to pay good enough salaries to retain their top players, and even BM comes up far short compared with what some of the English & French teams are offering For instance; been reported that Arsenal was offering up to $400K for Wendy Renard, but Lyon was able to match that to retain her services

btw............Amber Hearn & her girlfriend, Julia Arnold, to newbie, FC Koln

So your saying so far Bayern's made the best additions to their team....?
Yes, historically speaking the women's Bundesliga has never been the prime location to see major clubs spending big money on lavish signings, but this supposedly leading to future stagnation of the league... I'm not so sure about that assertion.

I just see the women's Bundesliga's in a different period of organic development compared to it's Euro/Atlantic rivals. This best evidenced every week over the past few years, where your no longer seeing one or two traditional powers stockpiling the nations best domestic talent, within a league competition where 3 teams will now legitimately fight for a title, and it's 7th or 8th ranked teams will start seasons with genuine goals of potentially wining domestic cup finals.

So if an artificially strong club like Wolfsburg are going to be the one German team to pay big money for access to the worlds best players... OK, but this doesn't/shouldn't be the quick path to success for everybody else to follow.

this must be some kinda Germany April Fools day in July ~~~ Pernile isn't
even German! Magull isn't on the list yet was the 4th leading scorer in the league from her CM role, (most likely had a high assists record too) with 8 of those 11 goals coming in the 2nd half of the season.

Goessling missed most of the season, Mittag only managed 1 goal all season long at WOB. I'm surprised they didn't put Henning as #1 lol

I wonder if Freiburg can be a serious challenge as well? Their getting Julia Simic. who's another attacking mid player & got the feeling that Gwen might start picking up her game as she grows out of her teen years.

In other news, Pauline Bremer is reported to want to leave Lyon, after that club is trying to recruit Lucy Bronze(both play the right FB slot), but where she's going to go remains a mystery as of yet

PS White/Blue, about time to start a threat for the new Bundesliga season

Magull's playing for Freiburg this season too right? When is she going back to Wolfsburg??

I think it's good for Bremer to leave Lyon, I think she should've stayed in Postdam for a couple of more years. I like Bremer, but hasn't really evolved as much as I thought she would.

About Postdam; curious if they can repeat something similar like the last season. I'm very excited to watch Elsig play again... which leaves me to; is Steffi gonna talk about experience in the backfour now?? it's two years to the world cup, she has a long time to give Elsig some NT experience... experience vs talent... i know what i would've picked

there's probably only one reason why Bremer left Turbine ~~~ MONEY! Unfortunately Potsdam doesn't have much of it. That could be the reason that top players like Tabea Kemme & Bianca are part time police officers. Not sure how JoJo is supplementing for more incom, but. I remember though when Julia Simic(also previous with Potsdam) was modeling & advo fitness outfits & products, but seemed to stop when she got picked up by Wolfsburg

Are Bianca Schmidt and Cramer not even considered for the NT anymore?

Cramer was never really that good, she just somehow started on Neid's injury ladden 2013 Euro squad at left FB, but seemed to disappear into thin air at times & it's been on & off injuries ever since.
Schmidt been out performed at her right FB slot; currently the NT options are Blasse, Maier, Klassen & possibly Bremer at that spot
