Marta has arrived: What a night. #MartaWatch 🐐🙏 pic.twitter.com/ANx06KY6zq— Orlando Pride (@ORLPride) April 21, 2017
I listened to a QueensCast Orlando Pride podcast yesterday and they came up with a hashtag for the Pride defense: https://queenscast.com/ #AussieAussieAussieAli
I have to give Orlando Pride credit and Orlando sports in general. Highlites of last Saturday's game against Houston were shown on local TV after the game that evening and next day. Also driving around Orlando area listening to the radio I heard several announcements for this weekends upcoming game against Chicago. Good Job!
Talking myself into hopping the Mass Pyke to Boston when Marta comes to town assuming there r seats left
unless I'm mistaken, kernel_thai is somewhere in NY and should totally road trip with me to see Dash at Boston Aug 16
Ah, pretty close to western Mass where I spent my college days and the Great Barrington area where my daughter and family lived for a number of years. Great area!
Yeah, I picked up a field seat a few weeks ago. Those aren't usually included with the discounts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
How much difference do Marta and Morgan make for Orlando? Orlando's 2017 record, before Marta: 0-2-2 With Marta, but without Morgan: 4-2-1 With Marta and Morgan: 6-2-2 .
I guess Orlando is all about Marta and Morgan (and it's the fact that the team is so mono-dimensional, by the way, that gives me a glimmer of hope that my Seattle Reign still can catch up with them). Morgan in particular, when she was back, was a game-changer that turned the whole league on its head.
The main effect is on the secondary players. Camilla got a huge lift from having Marta to play off. Then when Morgan shows up and Ubogagu starts playing really well. The big Orlando players have not only carried the load but have forced defenses to key on them.
