It's pretty funny, I think, that many progressives have taken to changing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) careers to STEAM careers, inserting A for Arts in there.

Eager to pay more taxes? Then look no further than Norway. Hammered by the opposition for slashing taxes and going on a spending spree with the country’s oil money, the center-right government has hit back with a bold proposal: voluntary contributions. Launched in June, the initiative has received a lukewarm reception, with the equivalent of just $1,325 in extra revenue being collected so far, according to the Finance Ministry. That’s not much for a country of 5.3 million people, many of whom are already accustomed to paying some of..... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ax-plan-as-expected-fails-miserably-in-norway
Norway one of the greatest social democracies in the world. Hopefully the right wing government won't fvck things up too much.
is there an editorial you can link to? because my understanding is that the trend is the other way, with liberal arts courses being gutted
It's something I noticed the other day for the first time when a Montana-based engineer friend posted this link in Facebook. http://missoulian.com/virtual-binde...cle_f0ff61d8-119d-5e9f-bd35-bd5858dd34bb.html So I googled it at the time and it seems like it started to pop up in 2015. In the few days since the first time I saw it, I've seen it 4-5 times.
Because judges & bureaucracy understand the suffering better than a parent. This is what is wrong with the universal system. It does not give a ******** about you.

What has this to do with universal coverage? and it was the doctor who advised on the physical state of the child
more like you you're too scared to have a rational conversation. why'd you even tag me then. looking forward to when those social security checks start rolling in. Shouldn't be too long now...
it started off cool... tapped into the whole hacking activist thing. Did some really cool camera angle work that was unconventional and unique on a regular basis. b that reporter literally takes snapchat selfies with the dog filter and posts it... this passes for acceptable behaviour. These reporters from the MSM remind me so much of all the people from high school I disliked, they behave like the spoiled rich kids who take tv production who have a mickey mouse world view because of the comfort they were raised in. They come from happy families and live very nice lives, they had happy childhoods and they have a hugely inflated view of their world.

You were tagged to show the fault with a universal health care system. Whether that boy has a chance or not, it is not for the government to decide. If his parents have found means to give him an alternative treatment, the government should step out of the way. Truth is that universal health care is not equal among all, it puts many into jeopardy. If you have the resources to go elsewhere, it is done. Otherwise you sit, hope and pray that when your appointment gets made, you still have a chance to survive, if given the chance. Pray for Charlie.
