How can I take all of the delusional fans seriously when they've been satisfied with mediocrity for far too long?

Changes to the roster, front office, and ownership won't happen if fans don't speak up. Being tied to a beer league team is an embarrassment.

United looks terrible. They botch the simplest of passes, moonshot crosses, pathetic.

Sarvas is fine, everyone else miserable.

Perhaps if the team gave us something to cheer for, things would be different. Still waiting.

Can Ben Olsen survive this game if it's a loss?

The problem here is that Christos is a beer league team that doesn't even practice. These guys show more cohesion and sense about what they are trying to do than DCU which is "professional", trains regularly and is "coached" by professionals. You simply can't defend what folks are seeing on the pitch. I've been willing to give Olsen the benefit of the doubt time and time again, but really, getting outplayed by a beer league team for a half is inexcusable. Ortiz is "supposedly" a Costa Rican national team player, he can't out run guys who don't train and makes some the wrong decision on some of the most rudimentary plays. I can see why he move from team to team in Costa Rica, folks looked at his highlight reel and said "poacher" and then actually saw him play 90 minutes. Geesh.

This is all going to come down to fitness, the only category where United is superior. Dante will reach out from the grave to define the new ring of Hell this pathetic team deserves.

Sam scores. I believe I called way back that we would be down a goal and then come back with our starters coming in to save the day. At least DC is consistent with their Open Cup strategy.

Harkes for 4-1 and game over. Ben Olsen lives to coach(?) another day.

Well, it took a seasoned pro in Sam and the obvious difference in conditioning to make the difference. Jeebus, Saturday night in Toronto looks like the Little Shop of Horrors coming up.

Words can't express how much I hated that performance. Sam and Harkes brought a semblance of competence, but my god.
LeToux, are you kidding me? Korb, still no left foot, get off my team you rank amateur. Buescher scores twice and still manages to be really, really terrible. And on and on.

Makes you ponder how far United should be dropped if there was relegation in MLS. If this game was played last week with moderate weather would Christos have hung in to the end?
Regardless, United top to bottom should be taken to court for fraud. end of rant

With a little bit of physical training, Christos FC could have won...

I agree. Also, their big striker is better than United's equivalent. It was plain to see.

What you meant to say was that Olsen's subs made the difference.

The sooner you've moved on to LAFC, the better. You're not a fan, you're a defeatist who'd rather see the team lose than admit you're wrong.

Did you watch it? Do you know who United played?

Of course 'we':won, that is the very lowest standard to be held to in this match. Not good enough for me.

Considering how well the rank amateurs played for 60 minutes, you need to whip up a better insult

I think you saw the reason Christos FC made it this far. They didn't play like a "beer league" team. They're pretty easily as good as any USL side. So when posters here throw that around like it's an insult, and we should be ashamed for not thrashing them from the whistle, they're not giving them the credit they deserve. They were organized, motivated, solid a-z and had some really clever players - many of whom we could trade the end of our bench with and come out ahead.
