Amateur soccer team, headquartered in a liquor store, never practices and rarely loses https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...86d150-4f9a-11e7-be25-3a519335381c_story.html
It does sound more relaxing than riding a bicycle from Falls Church to Georgetown to the C&O towpath to White's Ferry to Leesburg and back into Falls Church along the W&OD.
They've certainly scared me so far this year. I'd love to see DCU score 10 and pass whatever karmic kidney stone that has them blocked up...
Having passed a real, rather than karmic, kidney stone -- I must say the experience is unpleasant, painful and may include much profanity.
Heinous traffic from N Va toward SoccerPlex. Waze getting a workout. #USOC2017 #dcu— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) June 13, 2017 I heard this thing is a sellout? 6000+ At any rate if you haven't left, you may want to now. Traffic is a bitch, parking a bigger one. Getting into the Soccerplex will be a joke as they do full RFK-style screening. Thx, Jay!
Agreed, I don't get all the rooting for Christos (not entirely on BigSoccer). Respect their story but let's show them why DC is pro.
When was the last time DC played like pros? Can't wait for people to defend Olsen if we lose tonight.
They won't defend him. Just attack the posters for being overly negative. Something along the lines of "now we can focus on the league..." or "our summer signings usually put us in a good spot...". james
If I owned this team and Christos, which is a beer league team, wins. I would fire Olsen and the entire coaching staff and cut every player who was on the field tonight. This is embarrasing. Christos looks better coached at this point and appears to have a higher soccer IQ. I would be appalled, but after the events of the last 12 or so months worldwide, I'm not sure I'm capable of being appalled anymore..
The Christos players look like they have a sense about what they are trying to do. DCU not so much. This has been my team since 1996, I even went to almost every game in 2013, these guys in black shirts are not professional soccer players. They look like what they are playing, a beer league team. No cohesion, no thought, no speed, no skill. That last "cross" by Neagle to no one and no place in particular sums up DCU football this year.
Anyone having issues with the video player the website is using? It won't let me watch in fullscreen. I'm using Chrome.
Maybe if you didn't throw yourselves down a well after every draw/loss, we would take you more seriously.
