Ceferin says China must wait as 2030 World Cup should be in Europe: http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2017/06/01/ceferin-says-china-must-wait-2030-world-cup-europe/ I agree China should have to wait. Personally I favor a European bid as well. - Britain/Ireland - Iberian Bid (Spain and Portugal) - Alpine Bid (Italy, Austria and Switzerland) Something along those lines...
Rep for creating a new thread. I don't think Ireland would be a part of Britain's bid though. It would probably just be England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales.
And it would not be a true 2030 thread without the obligatory Argentina/Uruguay joint bid rumor that has been going on for decades now.

David Owen: It’s a fascinating time for the concept of a British World Cup http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2017/06/07/david-owen-fascinating-time-concept-british-world-cup/
I really don't think Europe should be given any preference and I think we should move away from such things. They should win the bid on merit.
Against CAF and CONMEBOL. Not China - a AFC member. But I fully admit being biased in this matter. I think skipping Europe for 16 years when it is still the most important commercial market for the sport (with most World Cup participants) is a mistake.
one of FIFA's biggest partner is Chinese Company Wanda, Thay are also the main Sponor of Chinesse FA and Team China, their boss Wang Jianglin, the richest person in Asia and 18th in Forbes 2017 World's Billionaires list, Is just the person who has the Ambition to Bring World Cup to China. Wang Jianlin holds 20% shares of Atletico Mardrid, he built a new stadium for Atletico Mardrid names "Wanda Metroplitano" http://www.stadiumguide.com/nuevoestadioatleticomadrid/ the FIFA club world Cup, Sponsored by another Chinese Billionaire Jack Ma, China is planning to bid for 2019 and 2020 edtion, Wang Jianlin had announced earlier that in cooperation with FIFA, They want to expand the CWC to 16 teams and host it in China。 Starts from Last year the Wanda Group and CFA hosted "China Cup", according to Wanda Group, after sevral years of perimantal tournament, the China Cup will be a Official FIFA tournament, with Top 7 National Team based on FIFA Ranking plus Team China compete in it annually, the importance will be above the FIFA Confederations Cup.
I think the era were Europe was by far the most important market is past. Only recently past TBH but still. A bit of more formality in the process is well worth the risk of Europe waiting a few more years.
As of now Europe still provides about half the TV revenue for the World Cup. Still about double the amount from the entire Americas. Look, I don't propose to just give it to UEFA - but China shouldn't be eligible to bid in 2030. I see China as the front-runners for 2034 and number one replacement host should Qatar lose theirs but no skipping the line. They may also have the Club World Cup in 2019/2020.

Argentina and Uruguay push joint bid for World Cup 2030 http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2017/07/31/argentina-uruguay-push-joint-bid-world-cup-2030/
if joint concacaf bid is successful, which it is very likely to be, I see no reason why joint british bid shouldn't work. this way or another I expect 2026 world cup in europe. china and argentina/uruguay will have to wait!
and here comes more, we obviously have next three countries bid: Soccernews: Paraguay set to join Argentina-Uruguay bid for 2030 World Cup "“I can confirm an agreement between the presidents of Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay to fight for the 2030 World Cup hosting rights,” Horacio Cartes tweeted."
Oh, no. This will end badly. If Uruguayans and Paraguayans don't agree (whatever they agree), the candidacy is doomed.
England is always great for a World Cup! If they don’t get it I am totally fine with Argentina or China. My big dream is a World Cup Match in Hong Kong. Not sure though if they would include it ...
South American Qualifying would be kinda boring if 3 teams automatically get spots. The other seven teams would be playing for what... ...3.5 other spots? No Brazil-Argentina or Brazil -Uruguay or Uruguay- Argentina classicos to look forward to in that qualifying cycle? I guess it would give Bolivia and Venezuela a real shot at crashing the party. That would be exciting for them but I don't see a real up side.
Haha... It's interesting that the article came out a year ago given what just happened in the Winter Olympics, but this would be quite a leap beyond simply having a united Korean ice hockey team. I assume the 2030 vote wouldn't happen for another 5 years so things can still move on the diplomatic front between now and then. But still... five years isn't that long. The most one can imagine is that DPR Korea is given a handful of games in one host city. South Korea and China could host the rest.
Speaking completely from a personal preference point of view with no consideration of who deserves to host or is most qualified to host, my order of preference is: 1. Uruguay/Argentina 2. China 3. Europe: a. Either Iberian or Alpine bids work for me b. UK/Ireland 4. N/S Korea: distant 4th I'd also love a joint Australia/New Zealand bid but I don't hear anything about that.
