Some people have been curious about all the England games going on this summer since we've qualified for literally all of the tournaments we could have qualified for, including the Toulon Tournament and the Scotland game in June. Obviously we have a thread for each of these age groups, but we could still post here about whatever. Anyway the schedule is here and it will be updated as the games go on. 3/7/17 - U19s vs Bulgaria 6/7/17 - U19s vs Netherlands 9/7/17 - U19s vs Germany 12/7/17 - U19s Semifinal 15/7/17 - U19s Final 19/7/17 - Womens Euros - Scotland 23/7/17 - Womens Euros - Spain 27/7/17 - Womens Euros - Portugal COME ON ENGLAND!
I think most of us would agree that it's been a successful summer so far: Runner-up at U17 Euros and qualified for the U17 WC in October. At least a top 4 finish at the U20 WC and a win away from our best showing ever. Won our group at Toulon and still going.
Is it worth re-arranging the OP into date order - so it's easier to see when the next game is rather than just an overview? 8/6/17 - U20s Toulon Semifinal 8/6/17 - U20s WC Semifinal 10/6/17 - U20s Toulon Final 10/6/17 - Senior WC Qualifier vs Scotland 11/6/17 - U20s WC Final 16/6/17 - U21s vs Sweden 19/6/17 - U21s vs Slovakia 22/6/17 - U21s vs Poland 27/6/17 - U21s Semifinal 30/6/17 - U21sFinal 3/7/17 - U19s vs Bulgaria 6/7/17 - U19s vs Netherlands 9/7/17 - U19s vs Germany 12/7/17 - U19s Semifinal 15/7/17 - U19s Final
This may already be our most successful summer ever in terms of results: U17s - UEFA U17 runners-up U20s - Toulon champions U20s - U20 FIFA World Cup champions U21s - UEFA U21 semifinalists Individual awards: Jaden Sancho - UEFA U17 best player David Brooks - Toulon best player Dominic Solanke - U20 World Cup best player Freddie Woodman - U20 World Cup best goalkeeper
Our only loss in the U19 play this season was a 3-2 loss to Wales in the first round of qualification. Ever since we've won seven games in a row and 8-0-1 overall.
Just added the U19's in there but after Wednesday hopefully we can edit again and have a feeling there might be some more personal accolades for some players
That's a wrap! Toulon Tournament Champions UEFA U19 Champions FIFA U20 World Cup Champions 27 games 23 wins 4 draws 2 losses (penalties)
Funnily enough the squad that Boothroyd manages scores 7 goals in 4 games, which is what happened when he coached the U19s last year: 4 games, 7 goals, 5 conceded.
Not really the right thread I know but anyone know how many Squad announcements we can expect tomorrow? I know the seniors & U21's but not sure about U20, U19's or U18's.
If someone posts the fixtures here up until the end of the year I will update the thread. Only working off my phone at the moment so can't do it myself.
