I don't agree with selling Dedos. Honestly I don't even understand why he fell out of favor. He was looking real good. Aquino sounds nice but do we really need him? Rather get Pulido at all costs.
So apparently there's been some controversy regarding a player (Alex Zendejas) we just brought in this season because he's from the US - both parents Mexican - and he played with the youth Nads Frankly, if he's good and stops playing with the Nads then I don't mind him staying at Chivas. It's not like he's cap tied with the Nads anyway
http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...l-us-youth-international-alex-zendejas-chivas Nad fans are now salty about it cause that means he will probably be playing for the Mexican national team in the future. lol
Who cares if he plays for the nads. We have enough restrictions in chivas(to get players) as it is, that pride should not be one of them. If he's good, I'm fine with it.
He was actually born in Mexico but the problem is he played with the baby Nads. I'm OK with him playing with us as long as he doesn't play with the Nads.
Isn't that how it works with us? If you play for Chivas the only national team you can play for is Mexico
I don't give a shit about his past, but like the rest of the real chivistas in this thread have already said, the mofo can no longer play for the nads. If he decides he does want to play for them, then he can go fack himself.
Yeah but there was a case of Luis Martir that actually played on the U20 nad team while at Chivas. He played 2 games but that was in 2014. He hasn't since, nothe sure how Chivas let that happen
Quoted for the truth. Also this isn't a restriction it's a tradition and one that should be followed no matter what. If the player can't accept that, then he could go back to the MMLS and rot the bench. Yup, JLH said on his twitter that they tried but failed so they are happy with this squad.
Holding back? Pride? Chivas has a tradition that is unbreakable and unnegotiable. No matter the player.
nada pendejo Vergara http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/2016/06/24/vergara-defendio-fichaje-de-gringo-zendejas
Was watching La Última Palabra last night and Vela's agent flat out denied any contact with Chivas Who knows though? A lot of times they like to keep this sort of thing close to the chest
They brought a good point though.... Vela doesn't not like all the attention on him at all... That's why he's happy at San Sebastián... It's a quiet place. He doesn't have all eyes on him... If he goes to Chivas, all the pressure is gonna be on him, since he'll be like the designated player and there will be a lot of expectations from him...
iirc he wasn't too attached to Chivas. He brushed us off. I mean he wasn't in the academy for too long before he got poached by arsenal. Everything about him makes me feel like he'd be a perfect candidate for MLS. He loves basketball. His bro Gio is there. I'm sure he's stuck with real soceciad because of the location. I'd be shocked if he came. Why would he?
I would also be shocked if he came. I know it is just piss in the air but he would fit right in with this team.
Higuera just revealed that Gullit sold for 3.5 million. Given that the club had paid an estimated 8m that is 4.5m down the drain. I've been talking about the club accumulating massive debts and moves like these (as well as extending Univision contract and returning to Televisa) only confirms that the team is desperate for money. With the Championsip win the team should be able to negotiate some good sponsorship deals. The stadium naming rights is also up for grabs. I know some of you will think I am exaggerating but keep in mind that the club has gone bankrupt under the socios twice - the first leading to La Promotora leasing the team for a few years and the second time allowing Vergara to buy the team for a low price. Also, in Futbol Picante Higuera admitted that the club had been on the red, something which I had alluded to in this forum.
Can you give us a rough estimate on how much this championship squad cost us? Starting with the 3 P's Pulido Pizzaro Pineda
I estimate Pulido's transfer was $20 Million dollars simply because both Tigres and Olympiakos wanted $10M each. I do not expect the club to report the exact amount because of tax purposes. Remember Tigres had a lawsuit against the player and I believe the Greek club and those expenses also had to be paid by Chivas. Pizarro's transfer was reported at $15-18M dollars. However, the negotiation included the transfer of defender Victor Guzman. A price wasn't given but I reckon it could of been anywhere for $8-10M dollars for the defender. Pineda arrived with a price tag between $7-8M from Queretaro but again this is the reported fees. We can easily add $2-5M extra for the real fees. One thing to note about this deal is that Queretaros president Arturo Villanueva is cousins with Higuera. I find Pineda's price tag really cheap given that he is one of the best Mexican players in the league. Lets just round it out to $10M which I reckon is what they paid for Mullit Pena. My rough estimate: Pulido $20M, Pizarro $18M, Pineda $10M and $10M for Gullit. I believe Chivas paid another cool $10M for Brizuela. We are looking at a $60M investment for the championship team. For this reason I don't thin Pizarro or Pineda will be leaving to Europe anytime soon unless there is an offer that would allow the club to recover their investment.
