Draxler has actually only 28 caps not 38, so he's almost at average of 1 goal for every 10 games.
In terms of GG he's at 9.33 GG, his stats are almost like looking at a very very poor NT, where you see players have like one handful of goals for like 30+ caps.

as for Gotze, well we don't know how many games he played badly because of his illness. It does seem like it started at Bayern. That's when his form crashed too and you could clearly see his decline from there on.

    Looking at this weekend......
Gomez, Muller, Mustafi, Sane, Draxler, Khedira all scored for their respective clubs.
Kroos,Rudiger and Oezil (assist ) played as well.

And Hummels, Boateng paired up I believe for the first time in a while!

    Question

Does Oezil deserve a starting spot in NT? I have my doubts over him...

Too one-dimensional, not getting involved n offers too little in games. No pace, very weak finishing n shooting...

I prefer Mueller at the AM/SS role as that's Mueller's best position.

Then with Draxler n Sane on both flanks we are all set, no matter who our striker is: Gomez, Werner or Schuerrle

Oezil has his moments.....lets see in 12 months time how his form is , when can then debate, Also depends on Khedira and Gundogan and kroos I suppose in what kind of form they are in.

    -----------------------Neuer-------------------------------------
    Kimmich ----Boateng -----Hummels--------?Hector/Howedes?
    Then it becomes interesting.....
Kroos, Weigl, Khedira , Gundogan for 2 positions
    Forwards including Striker
Draxler, Sane, oezil, Reus, Muller , Gomez.... and a few others (Goetze might even come back if healed)!

Maybe a 3-4-3 mights also work.
    -----------Boateng---Hummels---Howedes
    ---Khedira--Kroos-Oezil--Gundogan--
    ---------Sane----Muller-----Draxler

The following players are fixed starters at the next WC if healthy, regardless of how other players are playing progressing Neuer, Boateng, Hummerls, Kroos, Khedia, Oezil and Muller.

We were pretty poor today against Denmark, despite being known for having good youth development we barely matched a below average Denmark's youth squad. If you want you can see for your self by watching the football highlights.

I'm thinking we can retire this thread, give the next one a title referencing WC 2018 in Russia, since we already have a Confed thread.
