I hope Stefi Jones also noticed that one of her starters. Peter, miss clearance led to the TP goal. I think it's all going to depend for Elsig as well as my other fav, Dallmann, if the current injured players like Goessling, Leupolz & Laudehr will want to be part of the NT and would get picked based on their previous reputations, instead of being 100% fit. I've seen many a downfall of an NT if that is the case
here is the full match between Wolfsburg & Essen. http://tv.dfb.de/video/frauen-bundesliga-vfl-wolfsburg-vs-sgs-essen/17597/ while Harder & Wulleart were on fire against Potsdam, this time Hansen, Pajor & Popp picked up the pace as they overwhelmed the Essen defense. My girl, Dallamnn, had a good game at AM, but after leading so many promising attacks, I wish she didn't pass the ball so often, as most of her team mates proved to so less capable. the standings didn't change after the 20th round, http://us.women.soccerway.com/national/germany/frauen-bundesliga/20162017/regular-season/r35928/ big games coming up this weekend, the dfb game of the week will once again feature Wolfsburg. This time against Freiburg, Lina Magull is burning up the nets these days; 2nd leading scorer in the league, 7 goals in her last 5 games. But the even bigger game should be Potsdam vs Bayern Munich for the vaunted 2nd spot which would mean also spot in the CL(for next season). If Potsdam wants to stay in it, they'll need more production from Huth, who's only scored 1 goal(in 8 games) since her return from injury. Otherwise the only dependable goal scorer they got right now is the converted FB, Tabea Kemme. Should be interesting!
you've probably by now all ready seen it but here are highlights from the game http://tv.dfb.de/video/highlights-sc-freiburg-vs-vfl-wolfsburg/17629/ late in the 2nd half, Magull tries to go for the Carli Lloyd, bomb record from 60 meters, but fortunately for Schult, she don't embarrass herself again and got a hand on it/ The Wolfies didn't seem concerned with the upset, and in fact were celebrating that they did win the Bundesliga title on this day. Still waiting for an video on Potsdam's shocking loss at the hands of Munich by 0-4. That's about all the goals they conceded in the entire first half of the season
here's the full replay of the disaster in Potsdam. http://mediathek.rbb-online.de/tv/r...hen/Video?bcastId=9597422&documentId=42821514 can't blame any players for the loss except that the TP coach should of stayed with the lineup that proved such an earlier success. But looks like Kellond-Knight somehow got out of a favor with him, as her playing time been limited as of late. They should at least make some kind of investigation as to why keeps loosing their 1st half season lead, which I do believe has happened now 3 out of the last four years. I know TP doesn't have as much money as lets say Munich, (who afforded themselves a luxury vacation in Spain while still in training during the winter break), but they really need to come up with a better plan to keep themselves revitalized for the Spring season, instead of those non relevant arena type/small sided tourney's they do.
http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...l_bayern-sortiert-aus_acht-muessen-gehen.html What's next for Bayern?
Sad to see this. Eight to go is dramatic for sure, but Bayern's budget can't be healthy. They have one of the lowest average attendances in the Bundesliga and a whole bunch of internationals from around Europe. Qualifying for the Champions League isn't very lucrative either. Infact you lose money participating in it.
last game of the season start right now, but the dfb website as usual misses to boat as it's the all ready champs Wolsfburb vs lowly ranked Jena, with many of their top players not starting, while the big game is Bayern Munich/Essen as Munich still need a win(provided Potsdam wins their game) to secure 2nd place & CL slot http://tv.dfb.de/livestream/frauen-bundesliga-vfl-wolfsburg-vs-ff-usv-jena/17669/
The season ended with a tie for Wolfsburg against Jena. It's gonna be interesting to see Wolfsburg next season with a new coach. Btw do anyone know about a livestream to the DFB pokal final game?
it will be next Saturday & most likely shown/streamlined by a major German TV network(instead the dfb website)/ Stay tuned for a direct link. in the meantime, here's the final standings & top league goal scorers http://us.women.soccerway.com/national/germany/frauen-bundesliga/20162017/regular-season/r35928/ can't find as of yet any highlights of the Bayern Munich/Essen game. but apparently with their win Potsdam was 5 minutes away from a 2nd spot & CL slot, that is until in what looks like in dramatic fashion, Miedema scored in the 85th & 90 min. vs Essen. The graph shows Essen's Doorsoun picked up a red card at the same 85th minute, though Miedema didn't score on a pk http://us.women.soccerway.com/match...c-bayern-munchen/sg-essen-schonebeck/2286902/ so it does look like MIedema saved Bayern Munich's season. Makes you wonder why the club doesn't re negotiate their contract with her and not keep her? Anybody has word where she's headed too? and here are highlights of Wolfsburg vs Jena http://tv.dfb.de/video/highlights-vfl-wolfsburg-vs-ff-usv-jena/17718/ in the on going rivalry in what I feel are the two best players in the world. I've felt Pernile Harder had stolen the thunder from Caro Hansen this spring. but Hansen showed her up this time, subbing in for Harder after WOB fell two goals behind & scoring a pk and assist. Tough in all fairness the Jena defense looked pretty exhausted by the late 2nd half
https://tv.dfb.de/video/highlights-bayern-muenchen-vs-sgs-essen/17731/ I found the Bayern VS Essen highlights. I'm also curious about Miedema leaving..
Because there is no money to keep her. Bayern had to offload eight players to get control over the finances. I'm pretty sure they did everything they could to keep Miedema. And btw, I'm not sure Miedema saved Bayern's season by qualifying the club to CL, because that means more expenses.
Bayern Munich has an operating budget of over $200 million. Only one percent though goes into their women's program. Why on earth can't they afford more than? The Bundesliga is all ready loosing prestige with not getting any teams past the CL quarter finals. Attendance has been steadily fallen as well as interest(well, if you go by this forum with almost no Germans posting anymore, lol). In the meantime, the English clubs don't mind spending money even though obviously their going to loose money/not make an profit. Some reports have it that Man City paid $400K for Carli Loyd. Unless the Bundesliga changes their attitudes, their going to become less relevant as time goes by. Do you know where Holstad Berge is heading?
https://tv.dfb.de/video/vfl-wolfsburg-gewinnt-den-dfb-pokal-der-frauen-2017/17805/ really exciting game with two (!) red cards for Wolfsburg!
Simic to Freiburg; good choice? They've been starting the tall Swiss teen, Zehnder, at mid, but she's not all that steady. Instead, Simic will give them the experience that they need
here's the replay of the German Cup final http://www.ardmediathek.de/tv/Sport...Erste/Video?bcastId=53524&documentId=43133688 this game was unfortunately marred by bad officiating towards the end; But give FC Sand credit, they came to play(instead of holding back(. Can see how German;s are feeling indifferent these days; both teams only started & played 4 domestics out of 14. Wolfsburg gets reduce to 3 when Kershowski gets subbed for the beginning of the 2nd half. Sands whole offense seemed led by 3 Austrians & one Serb. and oh yeah, do I know my soccer? It was Harder that stole the show with scoring two difficult headers in a crowded field
