Flamengo and Real Madrid have made their agreement pertaining to Vinicius Jr official on Tuesday, with the player joining Los Blancos' ranks in June of 2019 at the very latest. The 16-year-old Brazilian star could join earlier once he turns 18 as his contract situation changes then, although the Rio club want him to stay an extra year. A new deal with Flamengo was just a manner to regulate the final deal with Real, and the Bernabeu outfit will be paying 30 million now and the remaining 15 million euros at regular intervals. Neymar and Gabriel Jesus may have gotten away over the past couple of windows, but in this transfer market Real have gotten South America's biggest star. Barcelona in fact were well positioned to secure a deal, with Neymar sending several messages to the player personally. Andre Curry, a member of the company Traffic with deep connections in Brazilian football, had convinced the Catalan club to make an offer, one that was larger than Real Madrid's. Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus, PSG, Liverpool and Chelsea were all reportedly willing to pay the player's initial release clause, despite the fact that he only made his professional debut 10 days ago.
As I said 30me with 15me in variables Great deal considering the plethora of clubs that were after him (literally every major club in Europe)
That's not what the report said. It said €15M at regular intervals and not based on performance. He's the second most expensive player from Brazil after Neymar.
so whats the plan with this guy for now? is he gonna stay in brazil or in castilla or be loaned or is he actually gonna make the first team as a substitute?
. How can he play for Castilla or A team when he is 16 and from Brazil ? He will stay with flamingo till he is 18 and that's when he become eligible to play in spain. Now his contract with flamingo runs out in June 2019 , so the last year is between the two clubs that he can either leave earlier or should wait till end of his agreement with the Brazilian club
Price is set by demand, I read a Spanish report on it and it said variables, unless my Spanish is rusty. He had a buy out and there were about 10 clubs or so interested. If he works out so be it, if not so be it.
From what Ive seen from youtube he has less control over the ball and technique then Neymar. Really curious about this guy, 30M for a 16 year old damn. I'd really spend that 30M for another player.
From what I read the price in 45M. 30 now and the rest in increments. This kid better be legit. Also Fraudiola already started his crying about our transfer. Bitch sit down..... be humble (I couldn't resist).
lol Man I ain't creative enough , I wanted to go with Sweet 16 and ... please be my guest and change it the way you want
At the same age he is better But it will be a long reach to say he will be anywhere near what Neymar is today, just have to wait and see.
That is quite a lot for a 16 year old. I'll have to defer to the better judgement of the club and people who actually know the player. Maybe he'll be one of the world's best and we just got him at a steal but I have absolutely no idea. Regardless, he's ours now so I wish him nothing but the very best for his career.
My problem is not the money we paid, the problem is that who knows what will happen two or three years from now ? Will he have enough motivation to enhance and boost his game since he has already signed for the best team in the world ?
Depends what his motivation is, money, or being a great footballer. If it is the later he has an even greater incentive now more than ever because he has a perfect chance to achieve his goal. From his interviews he doesn't have that Benzema/Neymar/Ronaldinho personality, seems a lot more down to earth, lets just hope it stays that way.
