I don't think US Club Soccer would be limited to US citizens in their roster selection for this trip so I figured this is the best place for him until we can confirm his US citizenship:

    David Mejia
    Lima, Peru
    Univ. San Martin de Porres
    2003

    http://usclubsoccer.org/2017/03/13/...tional-selection-international-tour-to-spain/

He has been called in with the Peruvian U13 team:
    https://www.instagram.com/p/6Ed-3hAp-E/

There's a YouTube page with videos posted by "JohanandKelli Mejia"
https://www.youtube.com/user/mejiafamily04/videos (USMP = Univ. San Martin de Porres)
The camera operators are cheering for David in pretty unaccented English.

Johan Mejia shows up on a youth coach list in the Seattle area. I can't find anything about Kelli Mejia.

There is what appears to be a family-run Facebook page on his soccer exploits:
    https://www.facebook.com/DavidMejiaSoccerLife/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE&fref=nf

The club's page doesn't provide much info:

Would like some input on this.

There's a Jesus Sahagun who is a Weston FC product, whose hometown is Miami (unclear whether that's also his birthplace), and was at a US U17 camp before World Cup qualifying: http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/201...rld-cup-qualifying-bradenton-matches-vs-japan
MIDFIELDERS (12): George Acosta (Weston FC; Hollywood, Fla.), Isaac Angking (New England Revolution; Providence, R.I.), , Taylor Booth (Real Salt Lake AZ; Eden, Utah), Christopher Durkin (D.C. United; Glen Allen, Va.), Blaine Ferri (Solar Chelsea SC; Southlake, Texas), Chris Goslin (Atlanta United; Locust Grove, Ga.), Alex Mendez (LA Galaxy; Los Angeles, Calif.), Marcelo Palomino (Houston Dynamo; Houston, Texas), Jesus Sahagun (Weston FC; Miami, Fla.), Indiana Vassilev (IMG Academy; Savannah, Ga.), Adrian Villegas (Portland Timbers; Hood River, Ore.), Akil Watts (IMG Academy; Fort Wayne, Ind.)
    US Soccer profile: http://www.ussoccer.com/players/2014/05/14/10/46/jesus-sahagun#tab-1

There is also this Jesus Sahagun, who was born in California, spent time at academies in Brazil and Venezuela, seems to currently be at Malaga CF in Spain, and was called up to Venezuela U17:
    http://www.liderendeportes.com/noticias/futbol/jesus-sahagun-tiene-su-corazon-vinotinto.aspx
    http://www.noticias.colegiomit.com/en/a-mit-student-at-the-venezuelan-soccer-team/
    http://www.eluniversal.com/noticias/deportes/vinotinto-sub-prepara-para-sudamericano-chile_637058

TopDrawerSoccer says they are the same person: https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/club-player-profile/jesus-sahagun/pid-74298

I'm not so sure they are the same person. If they are different, then we'd need to have a thread on the Jesus Sahagun at Malaga. In any case, a Jesus Sahagun should be on our 1997-later Yanks on Foreign YNTs thread. Thoughts?

Update: based on photos, it's likely the same person. This guy with the US:
Is very likely the same person second from right in the middle row here with Venezuela:

The next question is whether Sahagun is with Weston or with Malaga. OWTY said just today that he is with Malaga (check @USAprospects on Twitter) and is listed on the site as having moved from Weston to Malaga in 2016. US Soccer lists him with Weston, which may be accurate or simply outdated.

Edit: I found his USSDA profile, which lists his nationality as Venezuela (so it's the same person), but does not list playing time for him for 2016-17. So he might be at Malaga as OWTY says.

Recently identified, looking for info. Devonte Daryll Delroy Small. He is playing for Reynir in Iceland 3rd Division. I believe he is a forward (based on his goal scoring record this season/recently scored a hat-trick in a cup game) He is a roster member according to Iceland's FA (not a trialist) Iceland teams have a 'habit' of using complete names, so I have no idea which name he uses. Reynir have his birth year as 1995

I'm guessing this guy, who just finished up at Oregon State:

    http://www.osubeavers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1645

Looks like he was at a USSF camp for '95s and the hometowns match:
    http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/201...raining-camp-in-zarephath-n-j-from-june-21-28

    But it's only a guess.

Anyone have any clue about this kid Xavi Pascual Alfonso he's a 08' playing for Valencia. It seems an American group AnimaPura have brought a club to train and scrimmage Valencia and keep referring back to this kid Xavi. A former American client maybe?

Here they are flying out of Austin Airport

Here is after the match with Xavi (on the left).

I have no clue how to confirm or deny his citizenship, but I thought I would drop it by.

Here's one on the club leadership side of the equation:

Ivan Gazidis named CEO of Arsenal
Deputy Commissioner of MLS to join EPL team in January 2009

Born September 13, 1964, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Gazidis moved to England when he was four years old. He attended Oxford University, graduating in 1986 with a Master's Degree in Law. He moved to the United States in 1992 for an internship with Latham & Watkins law firm. He began working for MLS in 1994 as a vice president and was named Deputy Commissioner in 2001.

    https://web.archive.org/web/2009071...81126&content_id=206863&vkey=pr_mls&fext=.jsp

He's reportedly in talks to return to MLS as Garber's successor. He was in the US long enough to become a citizen, but no information either way.

Is there anything suggesting that the visit was more than a kind of summer camp? The web site makes it pretty much look like one. (If the kids were invited/brought out by the club, that's another story.)

Pretty safe guess I think -- photo on the club site matches up.

    http://www.reynir.is/thrir-erlendir-leikmenn-til-reynis/#

Also, the report I linked mentions a Youssef Naciri who is apparently Moroccan-American and a former YA.

OK Here's another one (before I write an article on him) Tindastoll in Iceland have a player named Neil Slooves. According to Iceland FA he signed 13 - 5 2017. He made his debut today. According to the Iceland FA he is an American. I googled - and the only Neil Slooves I could find is Scottish - Played his college at Palm Beach Fl. amongst others. I am guessing as this is not a common name that he is in fact a Scot. But if anyone out there is aware of this guy I sure would be interested finding out more about him
Iceland FA have him born in 95
