9pm local kick off just added to the estadio azteca calendar. Safe to say no dice on that 12:20am flight now. Website also stating that tickets are not for sale yet. https://www.estadioazteca.com.mx/eventos/mexico-vs-eua/
I hate you!! That reply was mine and you took it away! Nothing listed in the official femex site so honestly who knows. IMO, even with a 7pm kickoff, that 12:30am flight is a crap shoot. Leaving the stadium is a total mess! Maybe if you have someone waiting for you, maybe. Last time, the supporters section got wrangled out of the stadium right as the game ended and it was still a cluster. How knows if the process will be the same, especially if we Dos a Cero it

I just hope there is advanced notice for the on sale time for the tickets. Not everyone is connected to the internet 24/7. I'm trying to get more information from US Soccer ticketing with no response yet.
...and now...for the ever popular AO Travel Package...just announced. Definitely cheaper than the USSF Travel package. American Outlaws Travel Package Terms and Conditions - Two-night hotel accommodations at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma (June 10 - 12, 2017) - Match Ticket for USMNT @ Mexico - Round-trip game day transportation - Exclusive Pre-Match Party (includes food and drinks) - Welcome Reception (includes appetizers and drinks) - Commemorative American Outlaws tour credential and lanyard - American Outlaws souvenir - Experienced on-site travel directors ***All taxes and fees included PACKAGE PRICING - Single Room Occupancy (one person in room): $725 - Double Room Occupancy (two people per room; price is PER PERSON): $575
Well there goes not missing work, would have been a nightmare to find a locker in the airport for my bags sunday morning then a taxi to the airport after the game. Saving money and less hassle I guess.
Hilton is $139 a night so 280$ for two nights. So basically 440$ for transport and two parties. I met their on site travel directors on a recent trip and they had never even been to the country before. I dunno how either of these packages are put together really. I couldn't get a straight answer from them last time, even after bribing them with a few beers.
I am both an AO and USSF member and booked my hotel and flight two months ago--with trip insurance just in case. Is anyone interested in finding like 40 people or so that don't do either package to rent a bus for transportation to/from the game??? This is contingent upon AO or USSF NOT doing a land only package with transp/ticket. Just a thought. We did this in Recife (not my organizing) and it worked well. Just a thought...or am I over thinking this and should just take the metro/taxi etc...
It's pretty easy to take the metro to the stadium and then after the game historically the police just load you in to the same buses as AO and dump you at a far away metro spot.
I would like to ask a favor from someone, when the time comes. With USSC selling max 4 tickets. I need 6, so I will get 4 but need 2 from someone else. I will send the paypal immediately after. Consider it, think about it, ponder it..
The word I got from Soccer House was that they hope to announce just tickets for USSF members in the "coming days" with a reminder about the travel package. I hope these all inclusive luxury plans don't eat up all the tickets.
If they do then we should be doing a coordinate call in campaign to register our displeasure. Simple if we pay for our membership why does AO get priority over us?
We have a group of about 20 in San Diego all going and who all passed on both rip-off travel packages. We all have flights booked and are just waiting on match tickets too. I'm still pissed off about those "deals".
No news really, but I emailed USSSC last week asking about individual tickets and got a reply today saying, "We are still waiting on confirmation from the Mexican Federation."
The webpage (http://www.ussoccer.com/schedule-tickets/20170611-us-mnt-vs-mexico) you found last week is now public with additional information and a pitch to buy a USSF memberhship before May 1st to be eligible to buy tickets, "first come, first served." U.S. Men's National Team vs. Mexico Match Information Date: Sunday, June 11, 2017 Location: Estadio Azteca; Mexico City, Mexico Match: U.S. Men’s National Team vs. Mexico – 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier Kickoff: TBD U.S. SOCCER MEMBERS HAVE PRIORITY ACCESS TO TICKETS FOR AWAY MATCHES. VALID MEMBERSHIPS AS OF MAY 1 WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THIS MATCH. IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY A MEMBER, CLICK HERE TO JOIN PRIOR TO MAY 1. ONCE TICKETING DETAILS HAVE BEEN FINALIZED, AN EMAIL WITH TICKETING INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO MEMBERS WHO HAVE JOINED PRIOR TO MAY 1. A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE. TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. MEMBERS CAN ONLY PURCHASE A MAXIMUM OF FOUR (4) TICKETS. TICKET PRICES TBD
Yeah, I saw that... Just trying to get more people to buy memberships they won't use again. But I guess this link hasn't been publicly shared yet (at least not to my knowledge) so maybe they're planning on having ticket on sale info public after May 1.
It is live on this page: http://www.ussoccer.com/schedule-tickets. Presumably, US Soccer won't make tickets available for sale until May 2nd at the earliest. It does seem like we are getting the table scraps from the all-inclusive luxury packages, which is weak sauce. I can't even get definite confirmation on the venue and time from Soccer House. I trusted the Estadio Azteca site and the fact that they are continuing to push the rip off packages that refer to Azteca, so I bought a plane ticket over the weekend. It seemed like a good deal (cheaper and more convenient) based on my surveillance of airfares. Last night, the same itinerary emerged for $60 less and one with a totally weird circuitous return routing (Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara, SFO) is up right now for like $215 RT between SFO to MEX. Oh well. I got a decent deal. Of course, if the game time is not at night, I'll be screwed with a late morning arrival to Mexico City on game day. And if I can't get tickets....I'll get them. Ticketmaster MX won't sell out immediately, should that route become necessary because of US Soccer neglect of its members and its enabling of travel agency greed.
Guessing they'll do a first round of the gold and silver members and then everybody else. If we don't get tickets then we need to bitch them out and then buy on TM mx. Best case scenario they stop favoring the dumb travel packages
