To not clutter the forum, we're just gonna do ALL weeks in the same thread here. Mondays will be reserved for the weekend's postmortem discussion, then Tuesdays I'll officially open predictions for the following week's games.

    A reminder of weekly scoring:
Predictions for this week's five games will open tomorrow!

Can I make another proposal: We typically have a thread per week for discussions, can we just combined everything in to 1? So one thread per week for predictions, pre, during, and post game discussions. Or does that make tabulating the predictions difficult?

Yeah I'd prefer for the predictions + their discussion to be separate from the pre/in/post discussion since that would be a lot harder for me to sort through.

The games that had already started at the time of posting won't count but the other ones will!

I've seen this thread too late (blame the fact that the website has not been fixed yet to show unread posts in forums!)

Oh, well, I'll try to predict some other match-day! :p

Wait: this means that we're not going to see anymore the "Uff Da" cup?

These two are the ones I know less, I guess, but why not giving it a try?

Alright, so how'd we all do?

    59Amerinorsk - 0+1+2+3+0 = 6pts
    BlueCrimson - 1+2+2+1+1+ = 7pts
    holden - 0+3+1+2+2 = 8pts
    CoachJon - 0+1+2+1+1 = 5pts
    Blaze20 - 0+3+2+1+1 = 7pts
    babranski - 1+0+3+1+0 = 5pts
    lil_one - 0+2+2+3+1 = 8pts
    lunatica - 0+3+3+3+2 = 11pts
    STT - 0+1+2+2+1 = 6pts
    Lucy - 0+2+1+1+2 = 6pts
    weelilbit - x+x+x+3+1 = 4pts
    Smallchief - x+x+x+x+1 = 1pt
    blissett - x+x+x+x+3 = 3pts

lunatica takes the early lead in week 1 with 3 perfect predicts! And so far, everyone making at least 1PPG for the predictions they got in.

As one note, since it's a good idea to state it each year: please list your predictions as home-away, as I do with each opening post. Much less likely I read your prediction backwards! It's a lot of games to look at so I tend to try going through quickly. =-)

LOL, I didn't actually do better than anyone else who predicted the whole match-day, but 3 points out of a single match is not bad at all! I've got a perfect record, so far. :D:p

Edit: also, I am happy Mama Leroux came back and scored. Did she dedicate her goal to anyone special, in post-game interviews? ;)

er, yea, I guess everybody did better than I expected. I recall in seasons past half the field would bomb & get no points at all in the first week... or maybe that was just me? In any case, still early enough in the season where 3 points is a big deal.

The +1's in this year's system make it a lot more forgiving on the low end; it's an experiment to try making the ladder predictions a bit more important. It used to be that the ladders were worth <10% of the total available weekly predictions, and with 0's and 4's in the weekly predictions it made a lot more separation, so I've tried curbing that this year.

One thing I'm already noticing is that it's gonna make it harder for people to join midseason if everyone is making 1PPG already...
